Ed Sheeran has a habit of making every song he covers his own...sometimes I think he's better at singing other people's songs than his.
The last part when Ed sings, "Lights will guide you home", with Chris' piano hitting those notes hard. 🤌 Absolute masterpiece. ❤️

I never tire of hearing this . I love Coldplay and love the song. The two voices together adds something to a great song and performance and makes it even more special.
Seriously. Everyone loved and still loves these older Coldplay songs. The somewhat depressing yet real ones. The slow ones. The unique ones. Their first two albums gave me chills. The songs from them are still my favorites. WHY can't they come out with an album like those again? I get that maybe they don't feel or write like that anymore but damn. If there's ever a time when we need songs like Fix You and Clocks and In my Place, it's now! Everything is so poppy and mainstream now :( This performance however, is gold.

Sad thing that most of the people there were on their phones. There are literally people paid to record the performance for videos like these, so why not just enjoy the moment while your there? The true enjoyment with music is finding and connecting with it in the moment, not recording it from behind a screen to post about it. Sad world we live in.

This is what it's all about... Always nice to see artists grateful for the gift of having an audience, and willing to give a surprise to that same audience...
This is one of those songs that I like when I'm happy or sad, it has lifted me and helped me in times of sorrow. Thanks guys, you just keep getting better like fine wine.

Introvert has nothing to do with being able to express your feelings. Introvert means you get energy form being alone. You can be able to express your feelings and be an introvert, please don't think those 2 things are mutually exclusive

I've listened to this song several times today. I'm currently being taken off of a benzo- lorazapam. I've taken it for 25 years. It started off bumpy, but I was positive it would be ok.. I'm struggling with all the feelings coming at me that I numbed with lorazapam for years. Thank you for a safe place to go when I feel overwhelmed and unable. Someone commented it was "spiritual" at that moment, I didn't have the word to describe it, but the genuine love and hope in this song is spiritual.

I love everything about this. The way Ed sings this song adds a nice punch and his joy is like a kid on Christmas. Coldplay and Ed together is just magical. Not sure I’ve seen a better duo performance!

Same here! Been a fan for a long time. Became an even bigger fan after buying the songbooks for x&y, a rush of blood to the head and parachutes. I was so excited when I got them in the mail. Immediately went to my piano and WOW. I gained a whole new respect for Chris. I had been playing piano for about 6 years at that point, thought I'd be able to play en but nope. I didn't anticipate the level of difficulty I ran into. Mega technical stuff. Those 3 books have collected dust since then. Sitting next to my Pearl Harbor score, Leonard Cohen, Hallelujah, Led Zeppelin 4, and Land Before Time If We Hold on Together sheet music. 🎶🎹🎵🎼

Yesss yess , and many singers have played with Coldplay songs live , yet Ed is the best due with them i have found espically in this song
