The logic stacks up perfectly. She's an Aussie sporting star, she is known around the world as one of the best woman soccer players with many awards. She has played in an FA cup final winning team. Not to say other Aussies haven't contributed, they have, however Kerr has taken things up a gear and beyond, in terms of the visibility of the game. I don't think the original comment was specifically referring to this tournament, but more of a general comment. Absolutely she's lifted the profile of womens soccer in Australia. 🤣😂🤪

In this FIFA Women World Cup, Sam Kerr has been our standing-out player... Nobody has been so energetic, graceful and effective using deodorant... I never tired watching those fantastic commercials, again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, during the breaks...

WAIT A MINUTE! We have reports of it costing a lot for kids to join sporting activities!!?? At school we had sports Weds arvo (basketball for me), mens style basketball Tues after school for those interested, softball Friday 1.30-3.30pm, tennis Saturday morning (run by the volunteering headmaster). None of this was paid for by parents (a kind relative gave me a racquet). Later at high school Hockey once or twice a week. This was 1950s 1960s when no-one I knew had any money. But we were fit - sports days, softball and footy played on hard claypans, not to mention hopscotch with deep grooves to land in (well holes, not grooves - on writing this, my god we were fit!) But the main point was our School was majorly involved.😂

Sam Kerr is a great player in workmen’s football just look at her record in club level and for her country. When someone is great in their sport let’s at least give them credit😊

Sam is a natural.

That is the biggest issue in the women's leagues: the intensity and stamina while defending is very low. But that might be because their bodies aren't built for that. But she surely has really nice shooting precision, nice ball control and her mind seems to be in the right place.

My honest opinion: she has really nice precision but, to be fair, the shots didnt get nearly enough pressure from defenders as it was expected. I guess that's due to the difference in stamina between men and women. But it's obvious she has nice skills, ball control and her mind is in the right place. I hope women's soccer gets way more girls like her and more intense defenders.
