It’s a Saturday night here in Chicago and we just finished up supper. As is our typical routine, the girls were helping clear the table and put away the leftovers and requested “the sisters” for the background music while their chores were being completed. This is the first song that Alexa chose to play for us. Now they want to know all about how long it took to learn how to sing that way, how Megan can play the slide like that? Can we listen to it again? I told you two when we briefly met how thankful I was for saying hi to my girls. We’ll probably never meet again, but your small gesture of humility and humbleness won’t ever be forgotten. Thank you both again and we’re all cheering you on and hoping for your continued success. ✌🏻🍻❤️

Beautiful job, I remember listening to this song back in the 60's on a transistor radio, well done..

@@edwardcochran5060 Sam Cooke was a truly great artist! I love his work not only as a solo artist, but also his work with the Soul Stirrers. The Blues Sisters aren't trying to duplicate Sam's version. They're not him and are playing with their own style. I'm just glad that they're remembering Sam by playing his music and keeping it alive. Have you heard Beth Hart's version of A Change Is Gonna Come? As a powerful singer, she has the Sam Cooke vibe down pretty well. 👍👍👍

Sam and Lou would have love you two! ...that slide playing. It's divine!

These wonderful two artists are completely unable to disappoint me, although I prefer to see and hear them as a four headed band. But I admit, as a duo they present excellent craftswomanship.

This is my favourite Larkin Poe performance so far. I was skeptical before I clicked, because I thought Sam Cooke’s shoes would be too hard to fill but I was completely wrong, as they did the song in a way that was somehow similar to the original yet totally different, so when I was listening I had no urge to compare their singing to Sam’s. This is truly an awesome performance by Larkin Poe! Thanks❤️

These sisters carry the "family harmonies" as well as being great musicians. It can't get any better.
