This video truly shows the outcome of Garrett’s craftsmanship. I don’t see many factory built boats doing 9 knots as smoothly as Rediviva did. You guys should be proud of your work.

So impressed with the amazing vessel you’ve produced through hardship, sweat, and toil. Enjoy it to the fullest and thanks for bringing us along!!

I must admit that the speeds you were reaching had me flabbergasted! I had no idea Red Aviva could move so fast! As you have said in your intro for years, ‘the signs of a great cruising boat’ rang true! That she is kids!

How truly amazing to watch two people enjoying a dream they once shared and now it has turned into a reality, because of your hard work and dedication. She looks great on the water and given the wind, will take your breath away with her speed, fair winds and safe travels. Thanks for sharing.

WOW Who needs a sea trial, just send it! 9.9 knots. I think Rediviva is taking to her salt life so well, because you built her with all your experience of what you liked and disliked from your previous boats, and used that to make your perfect cruising vessel. I'm sure Mom was bursting with pride getting to share it with you both.

Red Aviva is quite a little speedster! I0 knots! Incredible! And she does it with such complete aplomb! And lastly, she is so loaded with CHARACTER! She exudes a quiet determination that I'm sure will take you to wherever you point her bowsprit. But my goodness you two deserve all the happiness that comes your way.

By far the most beautiful, and joyous video so far! To see her under full sail brought a tear to the eye, but the color of that deck house roof is driving me nuts. If you guys don't brighten it up, I feel like flying out there and doing it myself. The vessel is too beautiful for the deck house roof to look like that. Come on guys, fix it - PLEASE!!!

What a great sail guys, a joy to watch! Just want to comment on the gybe at 9:00. Where Garrett said "Take up on the port running back then release the starboard one". The order on that one is very important, as (especially going downwind) the running backstays are the only thing preventing the main mast from going forward. Ruthie released the starboard one first, before setting the port running backstay so you're sailing for a while without a backstay and only relying on the strength of the mast. Please try to not do that too often, as it can ruin your day quickly. Fair winds!

Umm, she has shrouds to hold up the mast. I've never seen running backs on a lower mast.
