Long time follower/subscriber here. ( Not quite from the beginning, but binge watched). I don't think I have ever seen two humans more in love and committed to a common goal. Much love from a ( sadly) landlubber with the soul of a sailor. Your adventure in life has brought much more joy to my life than I can possibly express in text.

When you said you could not believe how "Redaviva" steered herself, it niggled something in the back of my brain. I FOUND IT! Capt. Joshua Slocum told a story in his book "Sailing Alone Around the World" about "Spray" where he was able to sit out at the bow and let her steer herself! I laughed when I found it. I read that book when I was 14 years old from my Dad's library, I am 65 now. I have watched pretty close from the beginning. Love you guys! Fair winds and following seas!

Work on your weakness not your strengths, you already have that. Focusing on your weakness , makes you stronger . When that card is played. Your more prepared. Always run through your mind . What if. Then make plans in your head how to navigate it. If the time or problem is thrown on your plate your somewhat prepared.. Lets face it life is full of unplanned problems. The merits of anyone is how they handle them. Merry Xmas much love.

So enjoyed this episode.. and Dave's contributions and the new Starlink to make your uploading better and I loved the rigging redo and never heard that term Siezes I think and want to look into the whole field as the schooners I have been on all had similar riggings and I am clueless to the process etc. I know the basic names of few things but you're showing knots I never knew and process and names I never knew before . I've learned a lot from you both in the last 2 or 3 years I have been religiously watching the journey you are on. MEXICO NEXT WOW ... World Of Wonder You're on your way !!!

Grab yourselves a little kitchen vacuum sealer and a cut to size roll of vac bags, it'll let you reduce the space taken up by your composting moss by probably half. They're dirt cheap and also come in super handy for storing all kinds of other stuff and keeping your food fresh longer.

Kind of a silly thought but if you thought of maybe doing a highbred basically put a turnbuckle into your Dead Eyes so that you can tighten them I just turning turnbuckles but still have your dead eyes For their appearance. You just put One turnbuckle between every upper and lower deadeye to tighten up the ropes between. Then there’s the other thought of putting the term buckle above the upper deadeye and that way you’d have the lower end of the turnbuckle Attached over the Deadeye and the upper end attached to the rigging.
