I just wanted to let you know that I went back in the archives and watched the video you posted, Salt and Tar, the First Year. The two of you are some of the most industrious individuals I have ever seen. (Excluding Mike Patey who get 2-3 hours of sleep a night designing and building airplanes). After watching that video I can only imagine how excited you are. Fair winds and following seas on your adventures. I am so glad you took the time and got that engine running like a Timex.

Dolphins at the bow never gets old. A few weeks ago, we were coming into St. Pierre, Martinique, and were met by a pod of large dolphins. My fish-crazy cocker spaniel had never seen dolphins before (beeg feesh!) and I made the mistake of pointing them out to him. He took off forward to our port hull bow like a little tawny rocket ship to see the feesh. He only barely got the brakes on in time to skid to a halt and prevent himself from becoming a dolphin playtoy. Dolphins at the bow never gets old.

You have such a well balanced ship. I have to admit I had some reservations about a tiller to steer. I had visions of someone having to be on the stick 24 hours during a sailing but HO ! you have a built in Auto-Tiller ! What ah deal makes me want to crew for you seeing you out and about. I grew up around the water on the East Coast. William Adkins was my dad's surveyor and his wife was my art teacher in Tokeneke Elementary School. GOD, how I miss those days.

The look on your face Ruth as you turned from watching Garrett sleep on deck and looked into the camera.... that my friend is love! You continue to bring an unsolicited smile to my face, thank you!!! It is amusing to me that before I read your disclaimer about the dolphins, while I was listening to you giggle at them, I couldn't help but remember my now 23 year old daughter as a younger girl making the same giggles as we played in the waves... never loose that, stay young at heart and be happy.
