So if they're normally called "salt cats", does that make their melanistic cousins... Pepper cats?

"The closer to the Poles they are, The Chonkier they are!" Very scientific terminology, I love it ♥♥♥

“The chunkier they are” & “boop their snoot” along with scientific information is honestly the best thing I’ve seen today 💗

Gotta wonder how many of them were accidently adopted as they were mistaken for domestic cats

It’s amazing how many small cat species look exactly like house cats

It’s crazy how people still traffic cat pelts! I can’t imagine wearing the pelt of one of these creatures without feeling like a piece of shit.

As a person who started studying felids at age 12 I am absolutely in love with these videos. You showcase all the rarest and least known cats on planet (all my favourite ones :D) I want to thank you very much and show appreciation for your hard work. Many of these animals are not really well documented because of how rare/elusive they are yet you manage to tell so much about them. Instant subscription. Much love

I always assumed that domestic cats were selectively bred to be cuter, but apparently they look exactly the same as they used to (minus perhaps the variety of colors). Mother nature has crafted them over hundreds of thousands of years into the perfect hunter, and the form they chose just happens to look like a cartoon character.
