Thanks prim, these are from the A-run cohos. The next wave of schools of cohos are the B-run cohos which are bigger fish and should be in already or are still coming in. 3-5pound average for the A's and I catch 8plus pounds with the B-run. lol

anywhere honestly, people think my spot is loaded with fish its a hit and miss, just like any other part of the river the fish move and eventually stop and hold(especially when rains stop) at random places in the river(thats what people call honey holes). one hour there could be no fish at my spot, the next 4 hours fish start passing. I think anywhere is a good spot as long as you have good bank access to land fish. good luck and go get em! look for bends in the river or log jams and fish behind the log jams fish like holding there, but beware you will lose a lot of lures before you figure the spot out. I like throwing spinners in shallow areas where I can actually see fish passing with my polarized shades on, no fish jumping, no fish passing, no bites, then that means move spots and go search for the fish/honeyholes.

Nice fish, need to pick up some #4 BF spinners. I've thrown 3's and 5's in that same spot with no luck. Could have been timing, but I've heard in several places that #4 is the sweet spot for Coho. Was this just recent?

Where is this spot? Trying different spots downstream but no luck

@@teddyzhang4671 That spot is a one man spot and fairly popular to those that know it. If you want to find holes, study the video carefully, as well as other videos from the same person, or other videos about "Green River/Duwamish salmon". Then cross reference with Google maps to find them. Satellite view helps. Either that, or get down on the many cement walking trails and you will find many holes with trails. Sorry, but I, at least, won't give up holes easily...that's a good way for me to show up and need to find another place to fish lol.

I can usually tell if it's a coho by the way it fights. Pinks are like reeling in a boot, coho fights like a maniac.

Pinks are a little scrappier when they are fresh from the salt, and I agree they do get weaker after being in the river for a while. Cohos on the other hand do fight harder but I had some pinks this year give me a a good fight as well lol

Look for bends in the river or log jams and fish the early morning and evening in those areas(bring extra lure, you have to risk it sometimes to learn the spot your fishing, when you get snagged or lose a lure, simply remember those areas and avoid casting there next time. All my cohos this year were caught throwing spinners between 7-11 am. Overcast days the bite is good and fish are aggressive, sunny days the bite slows down but they will still chase a spinner down. I prefer to fish spinners in shallow areas, and if there is fish jumping a lot in the area you're fishing thats a good indication there might be a school sitting there and keep just keep casting. Eggs baits is killer for coho, I learned you have to get the eggs in front of the fish's face or get it towards the bottom and they will hammer it, put a lot of sugar with the egg cures, they like the eggs sweet!

Its kinda hard to say, all the sections past tukwila look like this with these steep grassy banks people have cut out paths down to the water on.

below 212th bridge, walk down river along the green river trail and look for trail openings towards the water. Lots of honey holes there not just this one, there are dozens of spots that are identical to this one. Remember guys the fish move up river, so they could be anywhere just got to look for bends in the river and log jams, fish usually sit behind there. Took me 3 years walking up and down this river and with no fish to show for the first 2 years of grinding, go out, explore, and observe the river.

Ah Ive probably ridden past it a bunch of times then. I usually ride on nice days from my office off 212 to the southcenter bridge and back during lunch. Its kinda hard to tell on the trail though, I need to actually walk it after work one of these days or during the offseason haha.
