    What gets me is why doesn't Blue Fox just put a split ring on their lure and provide both hook types ready to be attached. Seems like an awful waste having to ruin a perfectly good treble to replace with a single. But thats just me. This is exactly what I wanted to see as I will apply it to my other inline spinners as well. Good vid! Thanks! Holy Moley, Fish On! 😂😂😂

    I go with 6's all the way and go straight to 20lb. Mono. But that's once the rivers have come up and there's some color to it. Love these spinners. But I will retie them with heavier gauge wire. Good video.

    A another trick if you have some with bent wire or don't mind replacing the wire is to replace the plastic spacer with a piece of 3/16 hollow core pencil lead for some added wait and a dressed hook. Great video. Fish On

    Curious, do you tie direct to the lure with a barrel swivel at the leader/line connection or do you use a clip or a snap swivel?

  • @HolyMolyOutdoors

    @HolyMolyOutdoors

    Thank you for the question. If a swivel is on the top eye I tie direct. Too many hinge points can tangle on the cast or retrieve

    Years ago I scored a dozen Lefty's Deceiver saltwater streamer flies at a sport show for next to nothing. I used them to dress several spinners, mostly Vibrax, but also Panther Martins. Just cut off the treble, add a little split ring and put on the Deceiver. I have caught walleye, bass, northern pike, muskie, trout and salmon on various sizes. The hoochie is really popular here in the NW, so it makes sense. Same idea. Especially useful in areas where trebles are banned, for instance the Boundary Waters.

  • @HolyMolyOutdoors

    I can see that happening. Seems like some of the finishes don’t have a good base coat to prime to or too coat of varnish. I’d always keep some moon jelly tape on hand to replace as needed for any areas

    Blue fox spinners are quite possibly the most overrated piece of garbage used by fishermen. North Fork Lures are quality spinners and outfish this garbage. Keep fishing this trash while I go catching!

    I completely agree these are overpriced and not a true quality for every situation, but with there popularity and how many questions I see asked, definitely thought some could benefit from the information. I have a highlight to the north for coming soon as well. Thanks for watching and support

    You can't beat the customer service at North Fork and they are made right here in Washington. They definitely work and I won't buy spinners anywhere else while they are still in business. Blue Fox spinners are alright particularly if you need them right now but the North Fork spinners definitely outfish them once you figure out the right color and size for conditions.

    Bud's Spinners always did well for me for half the price. Not as many choices, but not sure you really need more than silver and gold. Could always paint and dress up like in this video anyways.
