Appreciate it! Keep up the great Videos! You are educating the people greatly and go nicely into detail frame by frame! I personally feel very out of place between those great veteran animators, but i am very happy mr iwazawa trusted and included me on this episode. Thank you for watching and i hope you keep on enjoying what everyone will create in the future !

I understand why you'd feel out of place between these legendary names, but to me and most of us who've followed your work for years, you already fit seamlessly among the best in the industry. Very much excited to see more amazing sakuga, and thanks for the kind words about my content! It means a whole lot to me.

Can we just appreciate how good it feels to see a dragon animated in 2d. First One Piece, then Mushoku Tensei and now Frieren. It has to be an absolute pain to draw with all that detail but man, it just hits different. I've grown so used to big CGI monsters in modern anime over the years that now I feel spoiled.

It's just the direction the industry is going in due to time constraints being worse. Monsters are affected by this, but the designs affected the most are those of mechs and any machinery in general. Though there are still outliers such as this scene and Kaiju no. 8 coming next year that also looks like it's going to have 2D monsters.

@@-MankoMan Yeah, I would agree that across the majority of anime nowadays vehicles and machinery are probably affected the most. Kaiju no. 8 looks insane though. I can't wait for it to drop.

"Why does Yutaka Nakamura only draw cubes? It's unrealistic. It looks lazy too." Yutapon: "Watch me animate these rocky cliffs. Oh, and dragon scales and a beard for some reason." Jokes aside, this is easily the best looking anime this season for me. I love that it looks like they go out of their way to keep everything 2D as much as they can. Moving backgrounds, monsters, armored soldiers, moving crowds. Brings a smile to my face every time I spot those cuts where other production teams would have taken shortcuts, and instead this team went above and beyond. I truly wish this and like, Tengoku Daimakyo's animation was the anime industry standard. But I guess we can appreciate it more exactly because we get it so rarely.

Simply the top of the top animators. It's funny that in 2022, there was this discussion about Chainsaw Man vs. Bocchi the Rock. Now it's 2023, and we have the director of Bocchi the Rock (Keiichirou Saitou) working with the action director of Chainsaw Man (Tatsuya Yoshihara), the Bocchi the Rock's chief animation director (Kerorira) and assistant director (Yuusuke Yamamoto), the Chainsaw Man's Opening director (Shingo Yamashita), another two episode directors of Chainsaw Man (Shun Enokido and Hironori Tanaka/TNK), and key animators from Chainsaw Man (Takahito Sakazume, K1ro/Keiichiro Watanabe, Yen_BM/Chris, Kouki Fujimoto, Ayaka Tsuji and Toru Iwazawa who's the action director of Frieren) and Bocchi the Rock (Toshiyuki Satou). And I could go on.

This is really an off-topic question but i want to ask u that if an anime is getting hated regularly (not on its animation but due to the content or just the excessive popularity of the anime which makes ppl jealous) does this create the difference in how that anime is going to be treated by the studios/production committee?? For example - demon slayer is constantly getting hated on the internet so does that create the difference in how it will be treated by the studio (or maybe it will make production committee somewhat hesitant in providing resources for the anime adaptation) or does the studio will be like fakk it we don't care if its getting hated it is the profit making machine for us and also in demon slayer's case it is ufotable's passion project. Its really interesting to think about how the opinions of fans on the internet can create really big differences as anime is becoming more and more MAINSTREAM

From what I understand they mostly focus on the Japanese reception. Look at chainsaw man for example. The western audience love it while the Japanese crap on it and Mappa is therefore (rumored to be) replacing Ryu Nakayama as the director for season 2. To be fair it's very rare for something like that to happen.
