​@@SA80TAGE Safer Seas. The only thing you can buy with gold is cosmetics anyway so you're not missing out on anything. Don't listen to anyone tells you otherwise. You can fight megalodons, Krakens, ghost pirates and ships, skeletons and skeleton ships, dig treasure maps, clear skull forts, do gold hoarder vaults, Siren treasuries, fight ashen lord world bosses and all kinds of other stuff like tall tales and story missions like A Pirate's Life and Monkey Island. Best part? There's no desperate, bald, fat, 40 year old no-lifers chasing you around. 😂

When you’ve played the game for years but watch the video twice anyway😂

I've been putting off SOT for years now and have finally sat down to play it past the tutorial. This is much more informative than just island hopping killing things and digging stuff up. Which is as far as I've gotten.

Your OG tutorials were great when i started playing a few years ago. One bit of advice will always ring true that you said..."This is Sea of THIEEEEEEVES". I still hear you in my head when i play. I look forward to watching the updated 101s and see what new things i can learn!

I had no idea how Shrines - and looting them - worked! I stumbled into one, did the waves, a door opened with a lot of loot! After pondering how to best carry all that loot above to my ship I picked up a chest and... the door locked behind me. I had no idea how the mermaid statue worked! With your guide (plus the scuttle + mermaid tip), I shall attempt them again! Excellent starter guide and enjoyed the humor. As a new player, I'll sub for this great info!

Best tutorial I've found on KZread. This noob has been scratching her head for the last few hours wondering what the hell I'm doing. And yes I followed the instructions in the collectors chest, subscribed.

I just started a week ago and feel im doing ok. Altho this afternoon I did my first Siren Shrine and while I was down there someone must have stolen a chest from my boat (Only 1 for some reason). I was checking my achievements and saw that the one "Someone else has handed in one of your chests" had been unlocked. It honestly felt kinda creepy lol knowing someone had boarded my ship, stolen from me and I had no idea it had happened.

I havent played this game but i have seen alot of yt videos and the Legendary Neebs Gaming playthrough and one thing quickly stood out. This seems to be a game that u should absolutly not be playing solo becouse of how all the ship mechanics work. It seems almost impossable to effectivly use your ship if u dont have a crew of atleast 3 especially when it comes to combat even for PvE.

Nice bit of tips, even though I'm not new, there was some solid advice in here. I'm gonna be sending this to my friend who just started playing.

Totally new player as of last week, definitely a bit overwhelming on learning curve as nothings really explained, but your video helped lay things out nicely, cheers mate 🙏🏻

I just started this game yesterday and spent hours looking for spotted pigs and chickens for a quest. (Still looking for the chickens) Thanks so much for this guide, I was extremely lost and overwhelmed before.

If you are doing treasuries as a new player, dont sell the tridents they dont sell for much and are extremely good at taking out ai enemies, mainly skeletons. Tridents are also a good counter against the kraken, mainly the tenticals that aren't in cannoning range.

I'm not a new player, but jumping back in after about 6 months. Good time to brush up!

I've got the pirate itch again and heard about the game recently. Trying to decide if I want to get it. I'm glad they added a solo mode because I have historically had issues trying to do group content on MMOs lol

i swear to god , i came back after years to the game with a friend who never played the game and i literally did voyages cause i thought that is the main game play loop. not only was this tutorial helpful it was also fkn entertaining as hell with your humor. thank you for the laugh. subbed instantly. please keep these amazing guids going, sea of thieves is such a complex game. My only question is, i heared u shouldn't do the tall tails from jack sparrow first, i only did like 3-4 shores of gold missions years ago. in which order should i accurately play these

While normal voyages have become outdated i still like the typical quests for just a chill fun adventure. Not the ones you buy from the companies themselves. The captain voyages are the ones i like since i can stack them. Considering it's a pirate adventure game i like the whole X marks the spot things. Very pirate-y.

I would still say lost shipments from merchant faction are great easy cash, even when solo. Basically guaranteed grade 5 emissary, can usually do one in less than 30 min or so, even pretty dang good cash for that length of time. It's awesome.

I think that this tutorial is great for people who don't have much time to invest in this game. But for people that do have time the magic of discovering what everything is in this game is something that is so damn hard to find in other games.

Got the game 2 days ago on ps5. It's a lot of fun but it's hard since i'm on my own. Tried to fight an npc skeleton ship. 45 minutes and about 80 wooden planks later i had to retreat 😂 i'll try to do one of those forts or shrines now.
