Indian issues are significantly different. Shehzad's views are worth every second watching it but situations in both the countries are not identical nor are the remedies. In India the trouble is that Indian Muslims always voted to keep the BJP out of power. This has also made more Hindu's move towards the BJP and since Hindu votes are more BJP managed to deny participation of muslims in governance.

First time I heard it from fraudia number 1, Qadri in late 1990s. He used to say that 'Taghoot' is against PAT (Pakistan Awami Tehrik). Second time, I met a No-doltia in London who wanted to have fun in old age. He started a fake movie and started doing screen test in his office on Sundays (he even put beds in the office for the wanna be heroines). I asked him what is the name of your movie. He said 'Taghoot'. That was 2012. After 12 years, another fraudia is using that name... Buht Deen Faroshi ho gai hai.

Thanks Shahzad for the logical deconstruction of the fallacies used by evaders and distractors. From purely a religious lens, Saahil's position was utterly vacuous, and clearly it was a failed attempt at evading the point in question. Let's dig deeper into 'Taaghoot'. Every kid growing up in Pakistan at some level knows what Taaghoot is, and that worshipping it is prohibited without knowing the actual word. The implied meaning of Taaghoot is any object of worship other than God. Saahil was posing to be very statistically oriented. If we do a survey among 15-year old boys and girls in Pakistan, do we really think that they haven't ever heard that "Worshipping anyone other than God is haraam". What's special in the Arabic word, Taaghoot, when a kid has read and knows that Idol worship is prohibited. So, purely from a religious perspective, the point Saahil was trying to pivot on was absolutely empty in addition to being a failed act of evasion. Hats off to the questioner for maintaining her composure. Khalil and Sahil felt intellectually vulnerable in her presence.

Taghoot doesn’t mean shirk. Taghoot means ‘Transgress’. Because shirk is a major sin. And Allah describes sin as a person transgressing against himself. Hence Taghoot can also include shirk.

When I was a young doctor the examiners who were all professors (baba) had a tendency to ask a difficult question and if you were unable to answer,you failed. This was called fatal mistake. Now when we are at that level we are trained to not fail anyone on fatal mistake. I think all those who act as teachers of society should undergo some workshops of communication.

Dear Shahzad, Though I disagree with you on many things, and sometimes you raise my blood pressure, I love to watch your podcast. You challenge my beliefs and ideals, and I love that. What does jahil means

Sahil Adeem claimed he had sample of women which means either he himself surveyed or had access to some survey showing 95% women to be illiterate. The lady should have asked politely if this figure of 95% was based on some survey instead of being offended and asking for apology. If Adeem’s reply were in negation then she would’ve been justified asking for apology.

Most Pakistani men use terms like 'beta', 'aunty', 'baji', etc., in a condescending way to demean women. I loved learning about the fallacies in this podcast; it's probably your best one so far, loved the exposè. I knew about Sahil but had never heard him speak before. The snippets you played of him speaking were hilarious, and omg his fake accent. Kudos to you for tolerating him. By the way, that 'I don't know' mockery was spot on; I couldn't stop laughing. 🤣🤣

​@@FarhanKZread283One of the main reasons behind our liberation war was secularism. It's a secular state till this day. But yes there is ample room for improvement towards an ideal secular state. We do have some islamic fundamentalist groups. There are many organisations that are lobbying to get every islamic political party banned.

But one suggestion when you use English terminology like strawman fallacy etc...., then you should try to explain it in Urdu by actually using Urdu words, not by reusing key English words. (Otherwise you are just explaining it to yourself, not a to wider audience) Like Ghalat fahmi paida karna, putla kharha karna... etc..

The last argument "how dare you judge". When watched that podcast I was thinking how is he blatantly comparing apples with oranges? What kind of "intellect" he is? There are people who actually believe Sahil is an intellect. All TPE podcasts that I have seen, you have always allowed guest to express them. For some reason Sahil thought this was a one on one competition. Anyways, hats off to you for making this podcast and I hope this must have opened minds of many of his "followers". Kudos to you.

I am from India. I was wondering when I saw your podcast with Sahel Adeem where your behavior with him was strange. Your behavior toward him was somehow rude. I knew you as a clam and gentle man. I was watching Sahil Adeem's interview with journalist Sabee Kazmi. Although Sabee was biased in his views, he asked Sahil a very simple question: "You champion the Palestinian cause and call out people, as you did with Khan. Tell me, 1. What have you done for the Palestinian cause in terms of actionable steps? "No answer" he went of ad hominem for the second time and called him "beta" again 2. sabee says can you even name five cities in Israel or Palestine? "Sahil was completely blank and seemed to be on the verge of doing a Google search, which Sabee immediately called out. Sahil then conveniently showed his hands on camera to clarify that he wasn't doing a Google search. yeh tu haal hai iska ab jahil kon sabit howa?

Differences aside , if you seriously aren't aware of his connections with Hamas and to be pertinent his Jordanian teacher Muhammad and Palestinian Shaikh Saleh than bro what can be said here. This is precisely why clergy and priests and even official 'scholars' are discouraged and disallowed in the Islamic tradition. We are all asked to use our aql and other reasoning and linguistic faculties to interact with the Book and also our life context, not relying on every Sahil, Qadri, and Hari to tell us what to believe.

The way you've explained has changed my way of thinking and the perception of different theories. ALLAH SWT bless you. Requested you to please concise the video, and also make another channel for these types of subjects. This one shall be used for podcasts only and another one for explaining different types of theories like this fallacy. Jazak ALLAH
