Sage Steele: I'm proud to be biracial | Morning in America
Former ESPN anchor Sage Steele opened up to NewsNation about backlash for comments she made about former President Barrack Obama identifying as Black. She says she's proud of her white and Black heritage, and wouldn't identify strictly with either.

She's so good, ESPN got exactly what they wanted. She interviewed with controversy talking points in Baltimore and ESPN didn't realize they couldn't control her. 👏
People need to cut this lady some slack. I mean c'mon you can't deny she has a point. I remember when Oprah interviewed Tiger Woods and asked him does he consider himself black and he said he didn't. Again, they didn't trash Tiger but they are roasting this poor lady unjustly.
The fact that this is such an issue her DNA is of mixed heritage and it's good that she knows where she comes from.
Proud to be EuroAfric mixed race. Kudos to Sage Steele.

Very interesting how you put the 'Euro' in front of the 'Afric'. Clearly a history book hasn't taught you anything. I mean, Africa comes before Europe alphabetically and yet you go straight to the European side to identify with first...Why is that? Please don't answer. I know already and that's why there's a problem.
@ToeNailBreaker

@@theninjacat7200 You asked a question so Im going to answer it. Nothing interesting about the rendering of EuroAfric. It is an English format that follows the same scheme as Eurasian. Its a term used in antropology and epidemiology for centuries which is derived from Eurafrican and Eurafric. So it appears you lack in academics, not me. Asia comes before Euro but surely thats not how "Eurasian" is rendered in the Anglo diction isnt it? I am Anglo, not African, my culture is Anglo, not African. I speak English, not any of the blk African languages. In Africa I am seen as European, or Middle Easterner, not an African or Black. I have nothing in common with Africa or Africans. Africa or Africans did nothing for me or my blk ancesstors other than exiled them into slavery and raped them of their lands. I have more in common with Europeans, Arabs, & Asians, than I do with blk Africans, or blk Americans. So, Im European before I am African. The only problem here is you, not me, or my family who stayed in my life. Again Kudos to Sage Steele.

Yes. We need more mixed(Mulatto's) like you and me who take pride in our biracial heritage. I'm tired of seeing these mulatto's claiming to be black because they want to be accepted by the black community. I don't want to be accepted by black people. I don't want to be accepted by the black community. I want us mulatto's to go back to creating our own communities and creating families together like we did back in the day with the creole people of Louisiana, New Orleans etc....thats what we did back in the day to escape discrimination, and prejudice from both, blacks and whites. The whites hated us, but they were not jealous of us. The blacks hated us and are jealous of us.They will try to tell you it's because we thought we were better than them but that's not true at all.

I don't understand if she said she was a black woman and people knew she had a white mother people would look at her crazy if she wasn't adopted. I don't see anything wrong with what she said. If she identified as black, I would assume she was self-hating. If she said his father was a deadbeat dad and he said it too I don't see anything wrong with it. If she called him out of his name that would be wrong. She told the truth and people are mad I don't care what race you are you need to be loyal to your parents most of the time.

When DJT returns to the White house, he needs to find a place for this wonderful young lady in his cabinet!! Never heard of her before now, because I only watch some college sports on ESPN and none of their talk shows, but I am now a follower of the future that God has planned for her! What a breath of fresh air. Character, strength, intelligence, integrity, beauty and I could go on and on but there are not enough superlatives to describe her. As my Daddy used to say "ATTAGIRL" !!!!!!!
👌👍👏👏
a person shouldn't have to justify who they are by the race of their parents
This country has a one drop rule. Your skin tone says black.
I'm not biracial, but i do have a black cat.

Bye Felecia.
Sage is a great person regardless of race because she embraces all races, barrack on the other hand is not proud to be bi racial and feels he has to identify as one particular race which makes him less than a great person because his choice makes him race conscious first, I have many racial backgrounds in my blood, if i thought the same as Barrack I would be just as confused. The left see's race first and will also be first to call others racist

Barack made a decision to successfully become President of the U.S. He reached the realization that in embracing his biracial identity he would "have no standing" in that context. After living and loving another biracial individual for a few years, he could clearly see what was necessary for him to achieve his goal of not only becoming the first black president but also be reelected four years later. It was a sad reality, this country was not ready for a biracial president and a biracial first lady. I am almost certain Stanley Ann Dunham would have understood.
Besides nobody who really cares about what this woman says?.🤔

Nothing wrong with calling herself biracial. That's fine. Throwing Obama's father under the bus wasn't necessary to make her point.
She sure does attack people that identify with her "Black" side alot 😂
Ain’t nobody black tripping on Sage and what she identifies as let alone honestly cares. I hope she finds a way to deal with her trauma from that one kid who told her she wasn’t black enough in the 5th grade or whatever

I don't think she's "traumatized" at all. She clearly has a healthy self esteem and embrace the fact that she's biracial. You're looking at a woman that knows and understands her identity, but yet you call her "traumatized". And we all know blacks do care about how mulatto's identify. That's why you're here. If you didn't care, you wouldn't of been here feeling the need to insult her and claim "blacks don't care". That's some childish shit. But black people as a whole are professional victims and childish.
Omfg make it stop!!!
