Congrats to Pakistan for winning the medal. All respect etc but this was an experimental team from India. Almost all worthy Indian players were participating in HIL at that time. It was not even their B team because even their juniors were playing the league. So defeating them with a goal difference of 1 is not flattering. Indian team went on to win Asian Cup and Asian Champions Trophy (both men/women :-) ) and our juniors won the world cup later. I think enough to show Indians are much better in current decade. BTW I understand Indian hockey budget is many times bigger than Pakistani budget - but than it always was. Money alone doesn't make difference - it is how you spend that money.

Its just a sport no need to create a chance for a rivalry... To say the truth this is india's junior team and pakistan's least senior team. Strength wise however india is higher at the same time has to consider about the facilities too in that also india has the advantage. So both teams are having their own advantage and disadvantage. Some 90-95 top players were playing Hockey India League. When Pakistan met real Indian team later, they lost 7-1.
