Imo the reason he's good isn't necessarily because he's so good at fancy tricks, It's because he's mastered the basics.

@@DandreVenter He can do both honestly. Using both arm and leg at the same time to attack is incredibly tricky so i'd consider it a stylish and practical fundament. And it's flashy to most of us who aren't used to watching muay thai matches, and it's supposed to be flashy for judges too.

You sparring with him made me laugh. I consider you to be pretty good at sparring from other videos I've seen but you really looked perplexed during that whole thing. The amount of unorthodox techniques he uses just to mess with people (like punching them in the thigh apparently) is astounding. No wonder so many people in his fight career got completely caught in the headlights and couldn't defend themselves properly after a while. :)

Yeah. It's like other people use feints. He just uses actual techniques they are just kind of ineffective and weird, but they hit you, so you think you should defend yourself against them and soon you have no idea what the hard technique that actually matters is.@@KevinLeeVlog

At 4:28, one thing that is amazing to me is how saenchai steps there. If you look, he steps with his right foot forward, and then when that foot lands, he instinctively knows that to get his hips where he wants them for a knee, he has to take ANOTHER step with his right foot. Unconsciously stepping with your right foot and then not putting weight on your right foot is actually quite hard, so to be that in tune with how to reposition yourself that he can intuitively adjust his plan for distributing his weight mid step, to take another step with the same foot, to me, that's awesome
