I just told him I am tired already and he can go ask one of the trainer. Turns out all the trainer hated him because he was so arrogant and he even asks the trainers to tie and put his hand wraps like he was the president of some shit. Lol the trainers are all speaking a different language that he doesn't understand cursing him. The dude can't even tie his own hand wraps and asking for a hard sparring lol. Hahaha

I really hate sparring with people like these. You've never met before, and yet Don't know how to properly escalate the intensity of the session. Best people I sparred hard with, there was a mutual agreement, sometimes we wouldn't even say a word, but the proper escalation and the seizing of each other's techniques was enough. This dude was ready to jump on Saenchai right after a cartwheel.... On a sparring session! He wasn't there to learn anything, he was there to prove himself only.

As a Torontonian who has been in many combat sports gyms, I can tell you that Toronto is full of guys who come into gyms thinking they will be the next big thing on HBO Boxing or Glory Kickboxing, get an inflated ego after winning some (amateur) fights, then often get destroyed when the competition steps up, get their ego shattered and become a distant memory. Lots, and lots of guys in this city enter combat sports for the wrong reasons (girls, ego, peer acceptance) and not the for the main reason: to become a student and master of the craft. Watch how the guys in Toronto who actually have success in combat sports (e,g. Simon Marcus, Misha Cirkunov, Matt Embree) and they act nothing like this guy in the video. The likely reality is that this guy will come across someone who won't take this lightly, and he will pay for it.

So true. Good call on Bazooka Joe. I remember spending some time at the gym he came up in around 2004. He was just getting going on the amature circuit, but was still one of the more advanced and respected guys there. There was still lots of seasoned guys there at that time, and many would look to hurt you more than help you. Joe was the opposite, and I never forget that about him.

the thing is, Saenchai was sparring with the entire gym for the exhibition, while this guy is just maxing out his best for 40 seconds. if you ever feel like to fight a pro with full force, ask them to fight you the full three round, then you will know the difference and wish you didn't ask for it.

My favorite is when you see a fighter who runs in and gets it handed to him/her and comes back everytime and you watch and see him/her fall to the mat time and time again ,but then gets one and another and another sweep and the boom now is humble and given the true lesson in Muay Thai ... Anyway that's just me thanks . I love Muay Thai and thank you for the opportunity to learn it once again I miss it ☹️

I have experienced the awesome opportunity to spar saenchai in Bangkok and the last thing on my mind was trying to beat him. A: I would never win B: i was just in awe of the legend and just took it for what it was and C: he nor I had anything to prove. This guy however seemed like he was trying out for the yokkao team and just made himself look foolish

0:29 is hilarious, same as many other moments like that in the video. What makes this even more priceless is that the tough guy probably didn't even realize how far he was being outplayed by Saenchai, who was basically just playfully booping his nose for like 95% of the video. Going hard on a playful sparring session by itself is already shameful, but doing so and getting your ass handed to you by someone who's not even trying? Even if it's by a god like saenchai, that's a whole other level of embarrasment
