Saenchai: Knockouts and Antics (Thai Fight)

Спорт

Thai Fight KO highlight of the legendary nak muay Saenchai
Saenchai is a charismatic Muay Thai fighter who fights with an extremely tricky muay classic style. Until 2014 when he stopped fighting in Lumpinee stadium, Saenchai was considered the pound-for-pound number one in the world for over a decade, beating heavier and taller fighters with ease.
Some of the fighters Saenchai has gained victories over include Petchboonchu, Sagetdao, Nong-O, Pakorn, Singdam, Yodvicha, Kongsak, Liam Harrison and many more. Here are Saenchai's highlights and knockouts from the Thai Fight show where he demonstrates his playful style to international audiences.

Hands down, best p4p striker for atleast the last decade. He's beaten all the best, usually more than once, gives up weight to find fights, especially in his prime days after he beat all the top thai's of his weight divison, against foreigners hes gone as high as up to 12kg difference in one fight (during the fight, not weigh in) and even in 2008 he fought 2 of the best at once, fighting Petchboonchu (best clincher in last decade, most titles too) for 3 rounds and Sagetdao for rounds 4 and 5, and still won the decision -- Saenchai is insane to still be at his level at 36 years old, where most Thai fighters retire around 26 / 28.. Buakaw is better than Saenchai. Saenchai was not the best in the world. He fought outside of Thailand, but was unsuccessful. Thai fight is rigged, 90% of guys they line up against Saenchai are inexperienced. @@algaorcundo1069 As far as I know, Saenchai has the better resume of the two and is a complete fighter who can do it all compared to Buakaw who's quite one dimensional. And don't get me wrong, I'm not a Buakaw hater. I've been watching his fights back before he got into K1 vs Zambidis and all those guys. And he was my favourite. But Saechai is just overall the better fighter. Smarter, more skilled and the better looking between the two (haha jk). Apparently Samart Payakaroon is the #1 all time ranking in muay thai. Saenchai is in the top 10. Buakaw isn't even in the top 20. It'd be nice if this channel could confirm these things.

I usually really dislike when a fighter has a show-off attitude and a cocky approach to their fights, which this guy clearly has. I think fighting should always be handled with the utmost discipline, humility, and respect for ones opponent, but I just have to let it slide here. His antics are show-offy for sure... but not in a way that seems disrespectful. It seems genuinely playful and he just seems like he's having so much fun with his sport. Plus, he can back up his pageantry with real power! This dude is the man.

Yeah, But Namsaknoi resorted to his Clinch and Size difference to win - Namsaknoi is an amazing striker but even he didn't want to trade against Saenchai. I love them both though and I think that fight was awesome but Namsaknoi is a beeeeast, 6 years undefeated. Too bad his gym took everything once he retired and through him on the streets. But yeah, I'd say Namsaknoi (being the smart fighter he is) just used the most obvious way to win and that was to use a counter style (pressure + Clinch). Saenchai couldn't handle that and that's fine because of how hard it is to actually do that to Saenchai!
