Sadie At The Backdoor - Glenn Carson Built Ashbourne Copy
Музыка
This banjo was Dad's 2020 woodworking project. In the midst of everthing happening last year, Dad disappeared into his shop for a few weeks and surfaced with this finished Ashbourne neck. One of the coolest parts on this banjo is the 12" rim made built by good friend and renowned wood worker Richard Newman. The combined talents of these two men make this banjo a personal favorite. There is nothing like a nice big pot fretless banjo. I really hope you enjoy a little "Sadie At The Back Door" on Dad's latest creation!
All the best and keep rollin,
RC

@@ruffalley Sure, I'd like to make one. I did an engraving job on a one piece Brazilian one off SS Stewart (they made a few unique engraved nickel silver peghead banjos in the 1880's) earlier this year and I guess it got me thinking about doing one.
I take my hat off to a man who can "disappear into his shop for a few weeks" and resurface with a work of art that brings boundless pleasure to so many. Mr Carson Snr and Mr Newman, you are craftsmen of the finest order.
I need one, you trigger my banjo acquisition syndrome more than anybody else.

Awesome! I guess that's what you get when you grow up in a musical background. Great playing
Would it be possible to get a class room series video for Ricky Skaggs shady grove? That would be amazing! Love all the vids. Keep up the great work.

@@glenncarson5717 oh wow I can't believe a member of the Carson family replied! Im a 17 year old from Southern Indiana (Jennings county) by the way. I see, but Russ has a southern accent, where did he grow up?
