my parents used to play Sade all the time when i was younger. I never knew who she was, just knew her incredible voice. Now I'm 23, and even more in love with the person she is, her class, elegance, kindness and good heart make her so easy to love, and her incredible silky smooth voice still calms my anxiety to this day. This song always reminds me of summer nights in my parents arms, warm and protected, it always makes me a bit emotional. Man I love Sade

I can remember hearing Sade for the first time. I was 9 yrs old 1984 outside playing with my friends, my mother had just bought her new tape. I went in the house for a snack and my mother was playing "Is it a crime". Her voice was so enchanting along with the music, it stopped me in my tracks at 9yrs old!! So I asked my mother "who is that"? And she said "Sade, she's a new singer, she's baaad". I said " I like her voice, she's got a pretty voice". I just knew deep in my heart she was beautiful... So I asked, "what do she look like"? My mother pointed to her tape cover, that moment I picked it up, I fell in love with Sade and been in love ever since. I'm 45 yrs old now, I want to thank you Sade for being who you are and sharing your raw, beautiful and musical gift that The Most High gave you along with that gorgeous shell that he put you in. Mmuahhh, LOVE ALWAYS💓💛

I hope she gets inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year!😊

my parents were from a generation that bought cd’s. for some reason, lovers live ended up with me and my brother when i was 9th grade maybe (circa 2004), and this version of the song became my instant favorite. i still listen to this from time to time. that collection is gone now but i really wish i had a real opportunity to go through all of it. i only realized it now. im forever grateful that i got this song from them. lesson is: connect with your parents by asking them their favorite music from their time. try to really know what they liked. i love it when my parents just share their favorite tracks.
