​@@renatohnqwell I think know matter what saddam is clearly the bad guy. thought does that absolve all of the US sins during the whole clusterfuck that was Iraq, obviously not,The us caused so much chaos that Iraq is still recovering to this day. like even before desert Storm at least a good amount of generations have experienced nothing but wars, from the iraq-iran war of the 80s to the rise isis and there bloody caliphate back in the mid 2010s iraq has been fucked over time and time again. And anyone that knows about what has happened in the past decades knows why. I just hope iraq is doing better now since they deserve peace for all that's happened.

I personally think it'll be a split campaign. Many of the first teasers are set into days timeline in terms of Cerberus. I think we'll play as character in modern times. Fighting against Cerberus (perhaps on US soil hence the BO nature of things) But Cerberus will be related to things to things happened in the past. I think it will resort around corporate greed and corruption. The insinuation being that several huge historic events from the past few decades have actually been caused by western governments and corporations. There's loads of accusations and insinuations surrounding the wests involvement in the middle east and oil.

The "PLEASE REWIND" reffers to the cassette tape which started at min4... and if You (or NoahJ to be exact) rewinded it all the way to the beginning... You will see a shot from Zombies.

5:08 I think it's just a little reference to how a lot of VHS tapes around the 90s had a sticker to remind tape renters to rewind their movie tape before returning it to the store. I mean, it was revealed via a VHS tape.

The thing is they featured those people which is fine. What's being suggested here is that Saddam Hussein will be the main villain which personally I can't see. For one we know how that story ends. Because it's history. And history for the most part makes bad stories. The gulf war ends Saddam survives. And remains in power for another 12years. Also it's a jump interms of plot and story from the last game. We've been fighting communism and the Russians now were fighting a false war against fascism in the name of greed. What about all the plot holes and loose ends from CW.

I'm really interested to see where this puts us in the Black Ops timeline. Mainly I wanna see how it handles Woods and the whole Menendez situation from BO2, cuz last I checked Woods got kneecapped by a spas12 in 89 so he probably won't be doing too much. Also kinda random but how canon is Cold War to the timeline? I think of it as a soft reboot or alternate timeline but I'm interested nonetheless to see where this goes.

Suffer With Me was in 1989. Gulf War was from August of 1990=Spring of 1991, for context. Regarding the thing about Woods, yes, he was kneecapped, but he's known to be extremely stubborn so I doubt he isn't doing anything during the Gulf War.

With Desert Storm/Desert Shield being the primary focus, I wonder if they’ll also have Somalia and perhaps the beginning stages of the GWOT? I’d imagine Somalia would be a must, and there’s a lot they could do with it. I think it may be touchy for some, but only because it’s such recent history. The gta verse, the us government uses Iraq to help fight off Iran and there was major escalation of the Iraq Iran war because of the USSR and USA being so involved in the war. As the Soviets are already full with warfare with Afghanistan being war upon with China and if Iran and Afghanistan are under Soviet backed victory, this would allow them to take the Middle East and China. Twisting them into Soviet puppet states. Due to the space Cold War giving the Soviets better technology. And even some Soviet leaders push for some economic reforms. It’s believed that the ussr made trade with the fascist nation of Draka. Iraqis are backed by the USA and Brazil to aid the iraqis in their victory. They won the Iran Iraq war. However the iraqis decide to slowly build their sphere of influence. With Drakan military. And the gulf war would begin in Abuddin as Kuwait chooses to side with Iraq. The rise of the Middle East coalition is being lead by Baghdad. Despite the cultural differences, parts of the levant region decide to join Iraq’s new regional alliance. Abuddin gets invaded and this world’s gulf war is set in Abuddin. Iran becomes Iraq’s puppet state. They allow the shah’s family to return to Iran. But elements of Islamic Iran retain in Iran. Even the Quds force stays in shah ruled Iran. The locals driven off the Soviets from Afghanistan and are allies of the M E C. Not new members. The rise of the M E C threaten western hegemony in the region. Even China feels betrayed by the locals they helped fight against the Soviets. The M E C see the north superpowers as western leeches. Even towards Russia, China, India, and Japan. The operations that occur post Cold War. Gulf war even, turned crazy, that terror groups were leaked info about how Draka truly fell. And it was a false flag attack by agents from the USA, Brazil, East Asia, and the ussr to blame Draka with their green light nukes that destroyed their military bases and their major cities of their citizens. The world then blamed Draka and there were sparks of protests and pro democracy movements that destroyed their fascist regime across Lemuria and Antarctica. This pushed aside rivalries of the USA and Soviet Union. Armistice. Even rocky balboa speech convinced Soviet Union to change because he changed his views of Soviet Russia and they too can change. True end of the Cold War was with the fall of the Berlin Wall.

I think the way this cods campaign will work is like how bo2s was where it had two time periods (the Cold War and the present war) but instead we will have the gulf war and the war against terror. That’s just my theory but I hope this is the way they make the campaign 😊

@@maxjolly566. Hudson would be proper dead, Mason would be presumed dead, and Woods would be in a wheelchair. However, it's possible that Woods played more of a background role and probably tried to get back into the field multiple times as he's known to be quite stubborn.

Trust me saddam isn't just some generic bad guy, he's the fucking devil. Guy had a iron grip on iraq for 50 years, developed chemical weapons that he used against his own people, committed genocide on the kurd and other minorities and started two different wars just to try and take over the middle east. There was one story where when he was having a party on his yacht with a bunch of his loyalist he poured some wine or something like that for them and he let them drink before him and after they finish he pulled out a different bottle and poured himself a drink and they thought the first one he gave them was poisoned, it turned out that it was not poised but saddam laughed when he saw them realize what they thought he did. And there's another story i know of where when he was talking with some of his advisors and generals about what to with regarding the iraq-iran war (since around this point iran started fighting back against his invasion) One of them suggested as a sign of Peace that they recalled there forces and had Saddam stand down from being dictator ( thought in reality he'd take charge again after the Peace was agreed), after hearing this saddam had the Guy go with him to a nearby room and when they got in there Saddam pulled out his pistol and shot the man himself in the head. I might have gotten some that wrong but the man was called a butcher for a reason

For some reason I feel Hussain will be a smaller part of the story like for a few prologue missions in Iraq in 91 and the rest of the game is until the early 2000’s. Possibly.

Going off the previous games themes, this one will play with the idea that the Gulf Wars were instigated by the US giving Saddam WMDs then subsequently stealing them back before the official invasion ala CODMW2. Cerberus is probably a new PERSEUS permutation/evolution with the desire of destabilizing/destroying the USMIC.

Even with how many leakes, trailers, reveals etc. that we’ve had we still don’t really know how this campaign is gonna play out. We don’t really know if it’s featuring multiple timelines, if the story is just based on the Gulf war and who we’ll be playing as or playing alongside.

Now they're going into the time period when I was only 4 years old. That was 32 years ago now. I might have been young but I remember back then when the war started.

Man I really hope this game is good
