About an hour and a half after you left, Joakim then Pär came out and talked to the dozen or so people still there, signed stuff (including my gun-tar) and took pictures. Afterwards, a crew guy informed us that the rest of the band was on a different bus. Christine and I go check the other bus (there were actually two. We didn't notice the other one at first). While trying to figure out how to get Tommy out, Joakim walks up, so we ask him if he could ask Tommy to come out, and he does. We have our time. He let's us know that Chris and Hanes were already in bed, but he takes my gun shaped guitar on the bus to get the last signatures. Tommy gets back on the bus, and as we're starting to leave, Joakim comes out of the bus to go back to his bus. We walk with him having another pleasant conversation because we have to pass the bus on the way back to the parking garage. Sabaton are as good offstage as onstage.

Oh boy , you are so lucky. Here in Germany the Sabaton concerts are so big( the hall in my hometown fits 25000 people and is sold out) that the buses are nowhere near the fans so we don't get that chance even though if the band would like that. Too many fans😃

That was great 👍... "Swedish build a bear".... I'm dying. 😂

Got to see them live for the first time in Nashville yesterday and it was an experience I will never forget. Got a picture with Pär and he even gave me a set list that was signed by all of the members. Truly a day I will never forget.

I was at Sabaton Open Air this August and there was literally people of all ages. The smallest ones were like 2-3 months, there was a dad with his daughter (maybe 6-7yo) sitting on dads shoulders in the prettiest black princess dress streching her hands out with the horns, there were this old lady, maybe 80yo, 2 tents away from my tent. And people from I don't know how many diffrent countries. I was with my daughter 17yo and I felt safe that even if I'm not there all the time, nothing bad wouldn't happen. I got to meet 2 online friends from Poland and Finland for the first time, our connection started at a Babymetal discord. So yeah Sabaton brings all kind of people together. (By the way I'm a Swede from the unknown town of Gothenburg 😂)

I saw them in Dallas. We saw the same thing, the most wide range of ages in attendance. From 5 to 65, whole families, even a three generation family. Quite the unique and amazing experience from the feel good energy of the crowd to an epic show by both bands! Wish it didn’t have to end!

Watched this when you just put it up while at work so I couldn't comment then, but man it felt so good for me to see how happy you are about meeting Tommy and what a sweet guy he is. I myself can't wait to see them again back here in Sweden february 6. You really need to see them on their home turf, it's quite amazing I must say. This brought a tear to my eyes too, beautiful! When I first saw Sabaton many many years ago, it was in a small venue in a small town out on the country side in sweden, even then I knew they were awesome and I would go on for years to tell everyone that it was my favorite concert I've ever attended, despite maybe at that time not being of same budget as nowadays; but the energy was still there and the vibes of awesomeness!

I was there! First time seeing them and man, I cannot wait for them to come back! The viking row was epic!

If you are coming to visit Tommy in Sweden you should visit the city of Boden (where he grew up) during summer, to see the midnight sun and our geat nature.

I can't wait to see them in Boston in 2 weeks!!!! First time seeing them and I'm so excited!!!!!!!!

At 45, Sabaton was the first concert I have ever been to at their first stop in Seattle. If I only go to one concert in my life and that one being it I couldn't be happier. I almost didn't go because the friend I was supposed to go with backed out. There's no way to relate how glad I am that I went anyway to see them.

I´m from central Europe. As you said that band was visiting a boat my mind goes aha battleship USS Texas. Btw this tour concert in Prague was in Ice hokey stadium with capacity of up to 20k (sold out). When Par asked audience to light up phones for christmas truce and as the arena light up it was truly magical.

Been to Sabaton 4 times over the last 10 ish years and they are awesome. Didn't get to seem them this tour because it's 4 and half hour drive from where I live to the closest venue at Minneapolis. Get to see Iron Maiden here in south dakota for the first time tomarrow so get to see some metal legends. Looks like you had a blast and keep up the cool content.

Glad I finally remembered to hunt down this video! I was the one who was helping Vance and his parents come and meet Joakim. I felt bad that they had to go but I'm really happy to see that this got posted and Joakim was able to see it. The crowd really was amazing and y'all were so good to me - especially when I ended up losing my truck and the crew felt bad for me and gave me one of Tommy's picks!

Going to see them in Grand Rapids MI on the 11th!

Great video OSN! Also, Texas is currently in Galveston, not Houston for the Dry Dock period. However, it won't be returning to Houston when they finish. While the new home hasn't been announced yet, San Jacinto is no longer on the list as the location has not been able to generate the kind of visitor numbers needed. The new group responsible for the ship will be taking her to a new dock, likely Galveston or Beaumont, in about a year when everything is done.

Cool you got the chance to see the Battleship. As a player of World of warships, i once did buy a package of the model of Texas where some of the money went to the preservation of the ship. Good to see they are doing it now! ...the company has for years been having a collaboration with Sabaton. I believe they first did the video of "Fields of Verdun"... Later they did "Bismarck". Cool right? Love the Vlog!

Sadly, the little kid and his family left about 20 minutes before Joakim came out.

So cool to see all the kids at a Sabaton concert. This does not happen in Sweden, as far as I know.

You probably have not been to Sabaton Open Air. At Sabaton Open Air there are a lot of kids with their parents. Most of the kids have their noise canceling headphones on and some of them just sleep through it. And some of them are just up and jazz along. SOA is kid friendly with responsable adults around.

Thanks for sharing your day. It was really important, the guidelines for fans, that you listed...I used to be a gig handler (like venue assistant to the tour managers, and band babysitter) in the 90s. And I was sent out to deal with clamoring fans. I'm 5' tall and 100lbs, but with a CCP...sure it was a different time, but those guidelines are just common sense. Often ignored by fans losing their minds. That said, I'm also a recent subscriber to your channel bc I usually catch your uploads. But I'm an old lady now, and I'm not tech savvy, but I love the interaction thru comments. I see that you're a busy guy, but wondering if you ever respond to comments, or are you too important for that? I'm gonna ride a bit but may dip out to another channel. Not being a bitch...just enjoy chatting with all kinds of ppl.

You're talking as if SABATON is the only band featured in this concert. EPICA ought to be recognized as well. You only mentioned them once in an hour-long video revolving around this show.
