Hanuman is a character in ramayana whereas as ayyappa in sabarimala is 'manikandan ' whom we believe reincarnation of ayappa.

Baptism is a process to accept someone into Christianity, a baby is being baptized with the parents around, whereas an adult is being baptized very strictly under the impression that he/she perfectly knows all the prayers, you can't just embrace Christianity with a blink of an eye, there is no shortcuts to Baptism (except if you are a toddler and your parents allow the process to take place)

Just like the Attukal Devi temple, hailed as a ‘women’s Sabarimala’, which has found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as a temple that attracts the largest congregation of women, Sabarimala too has some unique customs and systems. Uniqueness is the soul of every temple. Lakhs of women congregate in Sabarimala every year. There is only one caveat: they should not be between 10 and 50, because of the specific nature of the Prathishta(idol) and the vow celibacy associated with the idol. Let us respect these diversities as India is the land of pluralism and multiple paths to the divine reality

Naidu's point is correct. Why is the SC mum if anybody has violated the SC verdict and constitution. Why has SC not taken cognizance of it. It means SC is not of the same view which everybody is universally telling that SC verdict is getting violated by protestors not following it. There is definitely a confusion on this. It means like the PM and BJP/ RSS leaders, the SC also believes that everybody has right to protest against SC decision and not follow it blindly. What do a common person understand or judge from that? What should then the people who protest against entry of women in Sabarimala be called. They are more anti-nationals and law/constitution unabiding citizens of the country because they not only followed inequality and untouchability but also created unrest, violence in public life. Should the court not take note of it?

It is a rectification ritual and not purification rituals. When a temple law is broken, the ritual is done, be it a man, woman, child, animal or even the the tantri himself.

First of all, call some south Indians who have some knowledge about this temple and rituals or else most of you have not got even 20% knowledge about the issue. When brahmacharya is followed certain rules are followed by diety and diety has rights. You are not a devotee if you don't follow your lords' instructions. In sthala purana and other epic it is clearly mentioned. Can you prove the existence of god for that matter.

Its an historical shameless thing that has happened in Sabarimala or insulting to all the women of our country that purification was done after two women entered Sabarimala. Surprising why the women from all over India didn't come out against that or protest against that. How are women expecting equality when they cannot even voice against insult to their identity. Progressive women and those who believe that they are human beings and not just some item, should be protesting against BJP/RSS and groups like Nair Samajam and remember that as long as these people are in power, they would never be considered equal and they will rule their rights wherever male especially patriarchal dominance is there. Now its upto them because good and progressive men can't keep on fighting for them always. Women should understand that just dressing up stylishly or having an independent career with an income doesn't mean that they would get respect and equality and identity which is what every women needs. It is to show up, support, protest and voice their opinion in such issues only which will get them identity and gain them respect step by step. Even God would not have believed that there is something like purification created by people against women. Had he seen the exploitation of women happenign in this earth and the way she is suppressed and weakedn, he would probably have not created women with all the good traits gifted to her.

excuse me Sabarimala is about purification of the deity who is an eternal brahmacharya and wishes to maintain a distance from women. Where are menstruation and untouchability coming in the first place? It's deeply provocative and affects the faith of the devotees. Is it difficult to understand that every temple has its own philosophy no which it stands? As Justice, Indu Malhotra on her dissenting opinion bravely pointed out as the sole judge that judges should not poke their nose in religious beliefs of people until that has a socially detrimental effect like Sati or Child Marriage in which case the courts can adjudicate even if it's going on for decades. I cannot understand how not going to Sabarimala have any detrimental effect on anyone! Like I said it's not about discrimination or equality it's about a belief and a faith of exclusion! So If anyone can enlighten me on that? P.S- 8000 women and men all on streets of Kerala protesting against the Sabarimala verdict are neither ignorant of gender segregation or are they fools!

All gods are perceptions of divine .. personified as deities in temples. It is not a prayer hall.. mind it. Meaning of temple and deity is fulfilled as per the customs set for the temple. Every temple is built for that purpose. Especially in Kerala which many North indians may not understand. Kerala temples are very different.. there is purpose.. mind it. Visit the kerala temples and experience it yourself. In Sabarimala, it is the Sadhana of 41 days vrat to fulfil. It is a prescription for men. There are many temples and rituals prescribed for woman too.. Once you start vrat, wear a MALA, wear black dress for self awareness of vrat and he becomes SWAMI. Should lead satvika life till 41 days. Only satvik food ( no drink,smoke, non-veg, too much spicy foods all avoided). He must talk in mean language. Dont wear chappals. And stay away from woman. Men dont sleep with wife during vrat. This is 41 days vrat Re-sets life of men and they come back with peace of mind. All bad habits are re-set. Now, why only YOUNG woman should not go there.... It is a prescription for men only.. simple. When husband and wife go together, doesn't have the meaning of vrat. Thats the prescription. There are lot many other temples where there is no such restriction. It is only a prescription, sky wont fall down if woman go there.... Why some woman want to disrupt the temple tradition and atmosphere.. leave it alone please.. It is not causing any problems to you ladies ,right ?.. please..
