Finally a new video. I have aftermarket tpms sensors and US car imported back to EU. Let's see how fitting those to my summer wheels will turn out. I'm hoping to visit Saab Festival 2022 with my 9-5 Turbo6.

@@TechCars Looks like sensors are Standard Motors TPM151A. Driving from Tallinn, Estonia. I'm hoping to do some modifications for the next year's event. Visited 2019 festival with 9-3SC.

I dont have tpms sensors in my 2010 NG but i didnt get any messages in the dash untill i changed the battery. Now every time i start the car, a message pops up "winter tires recognized" is there a Solution to that message? Or will it just disappear after a few hundred miles and multiple starts? Im just wondering because before i changed the battery no messages poped up =)

But you do have the TPMS as a feature in the car right?

@@TechCars yes the tpms is showing up in the center display in the car menu, but i cant Do anything with it, maybe its something weird because its a 2010 :)

I have a 2010 9-5 aero and I get a warning on my dash saying check tire monitor system and I have no idea how to get this to stop popping up, any help ?

Hi. It might be a good idea to check the health of all four sensors by using a diagnostic tool to read out the values. Maybe one of the them is playing the car some tricks.

1,200 Swedish Krona = $140 dollars USD. Wow that is expensive for one sensor!

Yes. It's crazy ! You get four aftermarket TPMS sensors for one original TPMS sensor. Life span is about the same. Car works great with them.

Hello guys, the video looked like interesting in the beginning, but with all the due respect, you said wrong information and did the wrong procedure. First of all, most of cars that have TPMS have DIRECT system and not INDIRECT system (you said the opposite in the video); Second of all, when you want to do a diagnosis on the sensors installed on the cars, you should get the tool close to the tire shoulder (as the ANTENNA is inside tool). Keeping the distance like you did it's wrong, because if you work with a Toyota you could read another sensor without realizing it (as they have LF). Third: if you want to do copy and paste, you must do it from the OE sensors of your car; if you do copy and paste from your friend's car, you should follow the relearn procedure (as in the car ECU are registered the OE sensors ID and you're cloning completely new IDS). The relearn procedure doesn't depend on the region (Europe or American) it depends on the car manufacturer. Most of cars (more than 70%) have Auto relearn or manual relearn; the rest have OBD relearn. The Japanese and Korean cars mostly work in OBD. If you have Toyota Yaris and you install 4 new sensors doing auto create, try to let it work in auto relearn...as well as, you couldn't program the sensors without deflating 'cause the sensors you're using are really old model, so is the tool. Most of aftermarket sensors can be programmed with tires inflated. I'm saying you all of this because I work a TPMS technician and it's important to share the right information. Regards

Thanks for this additional information. I believe it all worked out fine with the sensors, that's always something? However, there's certainly place for improvement with regards to TPMS programming. It's just that we do not do it very often. BR Markus
