2 years later I finally got around to this fix. At first I wasn’t having much success. Tried dry lube and then WD40. Left fan in high. Then i started changing fan speed. Low then high. Low then high. This and time seemed to help get the lube into all the right places and things started quieting down. Then I went and picked up silicon spray and used same technique. This really helped. Go straight to silicon spray. I used PB Blaster because O’Reilleys had it. Every few hours the rest of day I’ve been turning on car to test and spraying more silicon. Changing fan speeds and I’m no longer hearing the fan noise. Just took it for a test drive since bumps would Many time trigger noise and 5 min drive all quiet. Going to leave glove box off and tear again tomorrow just to see what happens overnight. Really appreciate this video showing me the way. There’s also the guy from England with in depth video on how to replace the blower for anyone else in case this is not your solution. Partsis about $250 with auto climate control. Hopefully this fix holds and I can put everything back together tomorrow.

Worked perfectly. Although my bung was on the side. And awkward to get to.

It would help if you stopped playing that crap in the background, and show the video only
