10:30 Analysis
Welcome to our channel. All the weapon systems are like books, and they tell us their stories. The Weapon Detective investigates these books, reads between the lines, analyses them, and tells the untold. At the dawn of the Second Cold War, the fruits of new projects give us clues about the future. But current weapon systems also have their own stories. In our videos, you can find technical information, historical backgrounds, what happened during the development processes, combat experience and political projection. While the Second Cold War is rising, Let's investigate the weapons together.

    I live in Haifa, all i can tell is these ships are very capable, great to see them training in front of my window. Very good analysis, you were right about most things, these ships are there to protect Israel's gas platforms and the Naval borders, EEZ, and other threats from Terror groups like Hezbollah and Hamas. Great video, the only channel that gives that!

    Have to wonder if they'll ever reclassify ship classes. We give Capitol ships the class name of former tiny escort vessels. During WW2 corvettes and sloops were the smallest vessels a navy would field, and now they are the largest in most navies. This vessel is a destroyer in all but name. Destroyers are larger than most of the battleships ever constructed, many frigates are larger than classic cruisers and fulfill the lead ship role. Pretty soon we'll have 700' Capitol ships with 120 vertical missile launchers but we'll call them life boats for some strange reason.

    @@marcofava The US Navy has requirements, which differ from any other navy. Small ships like the Sa'ar 6 will fail, if they have to operate for month tausends of miles away from it's homeport. Also note, that the PPA is more than 4 times the size of the Minerva class it replaces.

  • @marcofava

    @marcofava

    Жыл бұрын

    @orbiradio2465 what you say is very true, if we had not just learned how warfare is changing, Europe is becoming more expeditionary in nature, all the ships we call frigates are really destroyers in disguise, and we've taken the old German approach to it, we will build them but no arm them, as you mentioned all of the PPA's displace three times as much as the Minervas, much like the Pohajanmaa class is coming along for Finland, the De Zaven Provincien for the Netherlands, and so on and so forth are effectively destroyers just that as technology evolves there will be the ability to keep much smaller ships at sea for longer. While I was not suggesting that a Saa'r 6 Missiles ship sail around and provide top cover for a Carrier battle group for 4 months straight, I am saying it is a ship that can do it for at least 2 months, much like what you see happening with the Navies in Europe, we are going expeditionary, the U.S. has the expeditionary part down, they are the best in history at it, nothing and no one can challenge that, but the small boat warfare that has Hurt the US Navy, like the Cole bombing, or the recent drone strike on the Russian port mean the philosophy is changing, to modularity, if a government sends a ship, it has to answer and belong to the people that said government represents and here we have the small destroyers Europe is producing en masse.
