All I can say is that you know how to handle your car. Great driving skills that's for sure and awesome "battle". I know he slowed you down in a few corners. I own a type R but the S2000 is and will always be a track beast. 15 years later it's still in the game despite all the technological advancements. Good job.

Code brown indeed! Awesome vid man, best on track I’ve seen in a while. Subbed. The low mounted GoPro definitely adds to the sense of drama. Makes me want to get an AP2 to complement the daily (FK8) a supercharger will definitely put these two on even terms.

Fantastic driving way to show the S2000 potential in the corners I personally think you out drove the Type R even with all that power you still manage to catch him that's amazing keep up the good work with more power you will be exploiting his weaknesses and I doubt top end will save him.

s2000: timeless looks, 2 seater, convertible, looks great with top down (unlike most convertibles that look bloated and out of place), handles great, feels great, sounds great, easy maintenance civic: modern car, modern power level, more space There's really no comparison except for track performance out of the box.

Really great driving man, you showed how having power isn't always that great, power vs handling has always been the battle for years, good stuff man. Cant wait to install some mods on mine, I have an 02" AP1 yellow stock w 154k mi shot out to the daily drivers!

@@okokoprivica7885 I think you're missing the point here, Type R definitely has better handling than all other front wheel drive cars maybe and definitely more power; but for the S2000 being more than 20yrs old now rear wheel drive with 50/50 weight distribution and alot less HP to be on that Type R's ass and only losing him on the straights says ALOT. Listen to what's being said and read things through, before just trying to insinuate that I don't know what I'm talking about. There's a reason the S2000 is highly sought after and it's not just that it looks great. More power per liter, 50/50 weight distribution with some slight mods including Driver mod like Jackie here, and you'll also be surprised at how "power vs handling" corresponds to what I was saying earlier because clearly you missed the parts where Jackie was on his ass despite having waaay less power, so yes, "power vs handling" or do you want me to say "Front wheel drive power & handling VS rear wheel drive power & handling"? Would that be better for you Sir? Lol my goodness.

Good idea, but it’s current placement means you see the proximity and the sense of speed. It’s just a glass cover that broke, easily replaceable

Great driving love the video. That S2000 hauls, but doesn’t have anything for the CTR in the straights. I hated that thing when I came out, but now I kinda love it.

Man this video is great ! Thank you. I’m a bit confused by the FK8 handling in slow corners. Oem one are pretty sharp in theses corners due to the AHA . I’m wondering if his suspension setup doesn’t mess with it. Great driving by both of you ! Cheers

These type of videos are the shit. Subscribed just because you are such a good damn driver and i can learn from watching! BTW, i would LOVE to see a track battle of an S2000 vs a Porsche Boxster/Cayman. a 987 Base Boxster (what i drive) is a perfect match in terms of specs in stock platform. Would love to see how that shakes out!

Something about low power light weight cars and their use-ability that just tickles my fancy! Lol. Just towing the line between over and understeer while keeping momentum is my favorite style to track race. It’s like being the underdog & still keeping up 👌🏻.
