tbh I think Ben and them OVER-produce this channel with all the cinematics and stuff. Bit over the top if you ask me. Just my opinion of course. I prefer a more raw, quick upload like a Boostedbois style..

@@JonHop1 nah, they have a quality standard way above most automotive KZreadrs, and I think that helps stand them out from the crowd. It's what I love most about this channel, it's always a quality upload in terms of both content and visuals.

@@Hawk7886 Its all opinion.. there a reason BB get way more views and has way more subs.. and so many car channels are WAY less cinematic and over-produced and are doing way better.. For me, its a complete waste of time and money.. Cinematics have their time and place.. this channel is super over-produced like 90% of the time, which is why it takes so long to release. There needs to be a better balance if you are doing this from a business perspective. More releases, more content and the cinematic production here and there equals more content, less money and more profit. And for me, its just as entertaining. These are cars we are talking about. I dont need lipstick on a pig.

@@SamDoesStuff Yeah and their quality standard means more time and money spent with much less profit and for what exactly? To show CARS and racing around a track in some beauty pageant. I appreciate their effort, but their a reason BB and Cleetus have way more subs and views. Its more raw and real to normal car enthusiasts. Ben makes this like a friggen documentary. I watch car channels for to see the real behind the scenes dirty raw experience. If I wanted cinemtatics and a big production, Id watch the Fast and Furious or some car documentary on the History Channel. Again, just my opinion. Their camera work and editing is great, but I think its kinda wasted doing so in a car YT channel.. Go into movie making or something.

Having moved from the west coast to Colorado 11 years ago, I laugh any time I hear someone from back east call Colorado the west coast. The coast is a good 16hr drive from us with 2 separate mountain ranges in between. 🤷🏼‍♂️

“Coming out to the west coast…” nearest coast is the Gulf of Mexico.

I personally dont understand why he went all out spoon but has a stock engine... That makes no sense.. And if he is building a car to compete in Grid his HP numbers are pathetic.. I think the Spoon F22C makes like 275. It is like almost $20K for that engine though lol

Hey! I am a Honda s2000 - 2001 owner. I've never rebuild the engine, only serviced the head, but tbh the SPOON s2k making 192 WHP is kinda low. Why? I am only comparing to my s2k (only mods are intake - single exhaust, stock ecu) which is kinda a beaten up s2k and it made 192 WHP on a mustang dyno. GREAT VIDEO guys, keep it up!

@Clay S. nice thought! Maybe earlier vtec + shorter diff gear ratio. I honestly dont know, maybe he hasnt rebuilt the engine yet or he didnt test it on a dyno or with an other s2k. I've tested mine with a low kilometer s2k , with a ecu/exhaust/intake + shorter ratio of 4.44 and the difference was chaotic. he could take the race 1/4 mile - 400m even with letting off the gas :P

SPOON does nothing to the engine.. they tune a lot of other stuff but never touched the engine (at least for the S2000)

I'm from CA and thinking the same thing lol. I've been to the raceway and Colorado Spring (beautiful place btw), I'd consider them definitely West but I'm not sure about coast. Maybe he meant that since the event attracts people from the Western states, not entirely sure.

@Gears and Gasoline - I don't know if you guys already do this, but you could try to do a "track walk" before you start each day of time attack. Even if it's the same track over consecutive days.
