    I always had a dream about auto manufacturers building any car you want that they have ever made. So I could go to Ford and order a 1966 427 4 speed light weight Fairlane brand spanking new in 2019 with the option to get it as it was back then or throw some of today's mods and safety features in it. That would be awesome.

    Removed power steering pump, easy to turn, The starter is a high torque planitary design starter from JK's starter in Palestine Tx, cost $110.00, Fuel tank is from a s-15 blazer located under the truck bed with a add on fuel neck that fills from the left rear of the truck bed, The radiator hoses are regular Gates hoses with a metal wire flex wrap, Thank for your reply, Have a Great day!

    Yea, The Pete Jackson Drive is not as loud as I would like but it serves it's purpose, I wish it were louder but for some reason it is not, The 355 that you installed in your S-10 is a good choice, you have done the hard part with the V-8 installation and if something happes to the 355 you can always go bigger without doing a lot of extra work, Thanks for your feedback and have a great day!

    Today, adjusted all the roller rockers, they were all a little loose in this video, also a lot of the noise is the loud Pete Jackson Timing Drive Gear, Now engine sounds right and runs a lot better, I'm gonna post a good video next week, Very Hard Running and Burnouts, Have a Great Day !!!

    Hello Gib, I have a bolted up Ford 9" rear with ladder bars welded and connected near the bottom of the Ford 9" axle housing also the truck has leaf springs for now, The set up is almost like removing the stock S-10 rear end and just Bolting a narrowed Ford 9" on, The headers are from Jegs "HEDMAN S-10 Full Headers" and each side is a section of 2 piece tubes that fit into each other Thank's for your comment and have a great day my friend, See ya!

    Mike, The Gear Drive is a Pete Jackson Gear Drive and it is not as loud as I would like but it works very very good, I love it, I will be making a better video in a few days and I will take the truck to Pine Valley Race Way in Lufkin Tx and will Run the 1/4 mile a few times, I will drive the truck to the Drag Strip "47 miles" and drive it home, I will have the camera mounted in about the same place and hopefully get some good video, Thanks for your feedback!

    Hey Eddie, thanks for the video loved it! I've been looking on Y.T for a video like this taken inside I have been thinking about going with a gear drive I know video's can be deceiving but the gear drive didn't sound "that" loud in the video? I'm sure it is for real. Loved the "loss of traction" Haha! one last thing how's the gear drive holding up? Thanks all the best Mike.

    Could you possibly give me some knowledge on this. I have a 91 4x4 sonoma and I have a 383 and a 406 and im wanting to put one of those in there. What things will I need to put it in the truck. also do I need a cowl hood for it?

  • @sfcmay1

    @sfcmay1

    10 жыл бұрын

    Dominic, I Love 383s, Lots of torque, Hard to hurt, fast, you can make all the horsepower you want with a 383 stroker, I prefer a 383 but a 406 is ok, My truck had a small block 427 in it before the 383 but nitros won that battle, You will need some weld in motor mounts at least a turbo 350 trans and it depends on how tall your intake manifold is before you buy a hood, My 4inch Hood was for the 427 set up but also works for my 383 stroker, I have a RPM/ Air Gap with a 1 inch carb spacer and a 2 inch tall air filter, my stock hood will not close with my engine set up, also you will need a good radiator, I have a Be Cool Alum Radiator, You will need a few more parts than what I have told you here, These are just some of what you will need, Have a Great Day My Friend!!!
