I worked as a Manager of an Auto Parts Store in the late 1970s - Chino Calif - I had a Customer who always did Engine Swaps, and he grew tired of putting 350s in S-10s - He wanted to show the kiddies what a REAL Swap was! Yuuuup, 454 in a S-10

My only complaint and not mush you can to is the exhaust is so restrictive do to room. But love building s10's!!! Great stuff!

I found a 454 for $500 about to send it out to be redone and taken out to a 502. plan to put twin turbos on it and put it in my 73 nova in a couple years. I'm currently installing a 408 now

Please tell me that the little roll bar in front of the rear window is not all you have to protect you in a rollover accident. Other than that it is one heck of a truck. Beautiful work of art, it really is.

nice s10....what kind of headers/motor mounts combo did you use???

I dont get why all these big block s10s sound so mild with a big block they dont sound aggressive

How long was the build? I am thinking about doing something similar. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have to do it on the cheaper side. Still worth doing.

It’s a squeeze to fit a 350 in a s10… couldn’t imagine the fab work and everything to do to fit a big block 😳

Headers and steering are the biggest issues, nothing that can't be taken care of with a little ingenuity.

What all you have too do to put the big block in the s-10 .

What part of VA are you guys in? Custom headers? A friend of mine is building a 454 s10 and said he couldn't find production headers anywhere.

Lol. I had a back halved s-10 blazer with a 454 and every time someone asked what motor I had, I told them it was a hybrid. The WTF faces of the ppl that believed my was hilarious. That did get old tho, goin to get gas turned into a 2 hour trip. Should have just left the hood off.

Grate sound and looks grate! I have a '89s10 that I am putting a 414big block w/ glide and a 4.11 or 4.30 gear. The bully jegs/ summit/autozone. How do I get intouch please?

350toocute I am all for American muscle but a lot of imports also have some serious muscle. I have seen many of big and small blocks beat by four and six bangers.

Love the big block. Hate the fact that it's tubbed and has pizza cutters up front. Love to see it with coulovers & a 4 link out vack with some 88-90 Iroc wheels all the way around or even with some chevy steel rally wheels. Nice build though.

ive got a 95 s10 with a decently built 305 with some iroc rims and a 295-50-16 tire and the rims look great on the truck
