Back in 1977 I bought a 71 Chrysler New Yorker 2 dr. that car had a 440 and just about every option but the kitchen sink! Back in those days and before Chrysler was leading the charge and a serious challenger to the equivalent Ford or GM model! That car was extremely well built as well & provided many years of great service!

i would have loved to had a challenger back in the day----however a 1969 roadrunner would be the cats meow with a four speed a friend two houses down had a new roadrunner got to ride in it a couple times i was in high school.383 four speed

A was helping a friend of mine work on his car. He somehow managed to pinch a wire when he replaced his starter. It shorted out and started a fire. All the leaks on his car added to the flames. The entire engine compartment was burnt and up to the bottom edge of the windshield. The windshield melted about a third of the way up. The entire floorboard carpet all the way to the front edge of the seats was burnt. Yet, the entire dash and inside fire wall was never touched, as well as the front seats and doors! It's amazing how fire works. It is so unpredictable.

The torsion bar broke before the fire It broke exactly the same as dozens of others I have seen , They make the best pry bars with the thin twisted end.

LOVE those front bumpers. Chrome City! I had a '69 Chrysler Newport Custom, with 64000 miles on it, and it had a similar look at the front. Wish I still had it...

One of three memories , no four , four I'm bringing back a fifth an sixth . A memory at eight er near nine years old age was I pounding the dents out of an unattached fender and the guys are telling me they had a brand new one . At Brookhurst Dodge garden Grove California . Later I would get a job at Haz Rents a mile down the street from Brookhurst Dodge.

A full tank of gas will not explode...within a certain amount of time. If it had been a 1/2 tank or less...it would have been nasty. Saw a work truck once spin in the mud of a house being built and put the ass end with the gas tank right over a huge fire that was built to burn trash, leftover lumber pieces, tree limbs, and anything anybody wanted to put in the fire. The truck burned to the ground but the full gas tank never exploded. The fumes is what cause an explosion.

While Mark is knowledgeable he has serious personality issues! If it wasn't for the cool Mopars I would never tune in! He has pictures of himself around the shop. If you look at psycho leaders around the world like Hitler, Stalin & Kim Jong un they too have prominent pictures in place for all to see. So besides being petty & domineering he thinks a lot of himself! The show would have more subscribers if he was quieter and showed more of the great work the shop can put out!
