The 69 Charger is the sexiest car ever made in my opinion.
That little girl looks EXACTLY like her Dad!!
My first car was a 71 Charger 318 Green with a half vinyl top white, and a white racing stripe down the sides. That's when I fell in love with Mopar. I wish I still had it. I still dream of that car! It would just eat up the Chevy 327s for lunch!!!!!

Ya right in your dreams
my YMCA basketball coach drove a 440 69 charger and took us to most games .. he enjoyed stomping the gas pedal and making the engine HUM .. he said it was bumble bees under the hood ..
Can't you just love them all. I'd fill lucky with any. That shaker hood sold me when I was a kid. To this day never road in one.
For me the 69 tail lights make it the sexiest new feature at that time
Iconic car and Mechanic
Love the '72 Rallye doors. Also totally loved the color combo on this '72. I recall seeing a '73 Dart Sport 340 car in this color combo with the partial vinyl roof in black and it was missing the stripe up over the roof as I recall in the mid 1980's. Man that color combo can really work on certain mopars. Just a fun summer in the 70's vibe to me.
That '73/'74 grille and headlight look, even the bumper guards, has really grown on me over the years. Just part of the unique looking cars from the 70's. One of the biggest negatives from '72 onward, has always been those side markers. The prior year had some of the best side markers ever used on any mopar bodies, IMO.
That 1969 Charger S/E has a unique color ,leather interiors
My very 1st car was a1968 Sport Fury Comando 383. Mopar rules!
The '73 or '74 manual sunroof car I almost bought out of a wrecking yard, looked alot like this '74. Though a G code 318, and like a really light non metallic gold exterior and light gold interior with the sim. wood side interior panels, making the interior look killer.
HEY CHARGER..✌...I love Aussie Valiant Chargers.
I would not have believed this back in the day: Body wise, just speaking of the body, these are much more different than their 71 - 72 counterparts. Front wheel arches are 2" higher than before. The top rear corner of the doors are 2" lower than before. The lower body 'coke bottle' lines are also different. The perfect 3rd gen Charger would have been this body on the earlier chassis.
I sure wish I could strike it rich, I'd have yall to finish restoring my 68 Charger. I'd rather have someone that actually loves & appreciates these cars to finish mine. It's not a bad looking car but It needs to be off frame. Quarters was replaced but floors need to be replaced. I had a nice 69 charger & someone burned it early 2000's. I got photos, yeah It destroyed me at the time ! It was a very nice General Lee car my dad bought when I was a little kid & gave it to me. It was primared black when it got burnt. We was gonna do some body work & repaint it. It was all original 318 car. I ended up buying a 70 charger body a few yrs later off of ebay & drove from Alabama to North Virginia to haul it back. I put a 440 in it, did a little more work & sold it because I found a 68 charger with a 440. I bought the 68 which was a General Lee car & have now owned it since 2007. It's got a Dana 60 rear end & automatic. So chargers has been with me for most of my life thru good & bad. Maybe one day I will be able to have this 68 100% restored. The 69 is still my favorite though, I thought about converting it, idk.I like keeping cars original.I feel fortunate just to own a Charger.
I love those big bumper guards. I had them on my '73. They were great for pushing other cars or breaking through gates.
22:54 I haven't seen a DOD vehicle decal like that since the early 2000s! We had to have them on every car so that when you went through the gate, that decal authorized that vehicle to be on that military installation. I grew up in the Air Force and my parents had to have them on every car. The first few years I was in the Air Force they were still used but were slowly being phased out. They eventually went to just checking all occupants ID cards, which was cheaper than having vehicle decals. It was also easier to secure an ID card than a decal. Too many issues with vehicle decals being stolen! Active Duty/Guard/Reserve/Civil Service had specific IDs while the dependents (13 and older) had dependent ID cards.
Dougies definitely familiar with the four-way window pane
Mark would love this, Bernie Mac said it best in the 07 transformers movie. "Driver don't pick the car.. the car pick the driver." I've sat in a numbers matching 69 charger R/T SE and I genuinely felt like I fit in the car, the car didn't just fit me. I fit it.
Great show! so much knowledge!!!
Great show!!
It’s kinda funny to see how ‘Mr. OEM’ Mark Worman seems to love driving around in that resto-mod ‘cuda lol

Wouldn't you
I sure like my survivor un-restored '69 Charger R/T SE.... X9, V1X, V88... E86/D32... doesn't get much better.
The hood on the 1971 Charger R/T was available on two different models. The R/T, and the Super Bee. The insert was different between the two models, but good was the same
I'd be happy with any of them parked in my garage TBH
Hey Mark, How many assembly plant locations made the second gen Chargers?
I seen it Mark,You own a little red wagon,Congrats !!!
Man, that '74 is so much like the one I almost bought. Other than the colors and G engine code on the one I let get away. On the fender tags, I recall even seeing up to 3 fender tags atleast twice way back in the day. When auto wrecking yards were loaded with 70's iron.
I used to own a 72 Charger loved that thing till a repair shop messed my life up
Man, they make the Aussie Chargers look tiny. They were beasts!
Love when Emma is on.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
What a nice color combination. I’m so glad the owner didn’t ruin it with a horrible orange Halloween costume.
I think the 66 67 year is the best and I like the
They pulled the car with a cable under the railroad tracks with another vehicle at a 90 degree angle and a pulley. In slow motion you can see the cable and the pyrotechnics that blow out the rear window.
Wow can Doug's face get anymore red. Lol
the 72 Charger I owned had a 318 when i bought it but I always wished it had a 426 Hemi in it but ended up selling it due to the fact the repair place I took it to get it fixed once kept messing up something else so i would bring it back in
although i own a 16 k hemi superbird ,alpine with a 4 gear , my favorite roadrunner is the 71 ( which i have not gotten yet ) .. i am on the hunt right now for a 1970 440 sport fury , my favorite mopar ever made ... call me all the names u want , my dad had one when i was a kid , something about the grill has been etched in my mind forever :) and you have one there , i have asked about many times with NO response :(
It's funny. I have a kind of color blindness too and I've always tell people it was because I only had the basic 8 crayons. "If it wasn't in the 8 pack, I don't know the color"
Just an observation here - but nobody ever seems to be wearing their seatbelt. Even on the "performance runs".
how much did it cost to do the 1970? all together.
At what point can you replace metal on the 1970 Charger and still call it numbers matching though
Man I love these shows. Please why is a commercial needed every 4 minutes tho? This is getting old with a commercial every 4 minutes.

I know where there’s a 426 four-speed 68 charger sitting in New York it’s a friend of mine‘s car but I can’t tell you where it is hopefully he fixes it
That 69 should not be touch its amazing al original!
Season 10, but what episode # is this???????????????? How come season 10 episodes aren't numbered? So they can be watched in the correct order
OE Correct (original episode) = Graveyard Carz S10-E05 Carbituary Charger
Season 9 was the best. They showed so much more of the car builds etc this is when theirs too much in the 393 cuda talk and too much talk not enough show and tell.
71 v-code charger
...and there were only nine 1970 Charger RT/SE Hemis. Five automatics and four 4-speeds. Anyone know why all of those were built for?. BTW, all the four speeds are lost and only 4 automatics survived. Any more than that are bogus.
Real cheesesteaks don't have cheese wiz...
My favourite was my dads 69 super bee with a 383 I believe and a manual transmission
Hood
That beard dye at the beginning of the show - it never looks natural 11:02
What happened to Dave ? too many fans ? Too popular ?
I HATE when Mark says after a total Restoration and they replace 3/4 of the sheet metal on the car(with Chinese pieces), he says the car is all original.... NO it's Not ! A "survivor" car is all original... and I won't call a car all original just because of the vin and matching motor/carb, trans and etc... Half the damn Graveyard restorations have very little of the original sheetmetal left... the Phantom Cuda is the best example.... nothing matches and 90% of the body metal and interior pieces were made in china !

Exactly!. The $1.5 million dollar coronet wasn’t even matching numbers! He ripped that guy off.

@@jamiemoffatt50 Yup ! ...And, so many cars are $100,000 and up jobs, and end up being restored using 3/4 Made in China parts ! Granted, there is a lot of time and labor costs involved.... but how much of the car ends up being original American Made from the factory ? Ahem, Excuse me- should we say American Restoration being "re-assembled" from Foreign made parts ?
Dang vid has a Dem lying commercial I hadn't seen yet, Just keep on keeping on, spewing easy to prove wrong lies. ............Anywho, always love Dougie's laugh attacks on camera.
Hey lol
blah blah blah
