S1 EP5. Gossip Is Harmless

Hey, y'all ! On today's episode our host, Ally, touches on the topic of gossip and what God tells us to do with our words. We speak about different kinds of gossip, harmless or not, and where the intent or motive to talk about other people could come from. Is it harmless?? We hope the Holy Spirit speaks to you as much as it spoke to us in this episode. :) xx

When you said having confidence in God extinguishes the need to gossip yess I felt that 100%, my desire to talk and hear about anyone has disappeared since becoming so close with Jesus 🤍🤍

You talking about the enemy holding you back from doing this podcast has totally made me realise that this is the same situation for me when it comes to things that I have been putting off because of not having “the perfect set up or the perfect equipment” Also great topic to discuss in general, very timely. I have just discovered your podcast so I am taking my time in catching up 😊

Ally.. this 👏🏼 message! 👏🏼 So good! A definite check on heart posture. Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you! If you would not want people talking about you behind your back, why do we feel it’s okay to do to others? Thank you for sharing, totally loving this podcast! ❤

Heyy Ally Just wanted to say thank you for your early uploads ! Also am really proud and glad to see you fulfilling what our father has called you to do, I began listening to girly popcast a couple months back and thought it was a Christian podcast but you wouldn't talk as much about him which made me sad because you have such a way with your words and speaking scripture that is so moving and inspiring. I'm truly glad to see this podcast now and hear you fully talk about the Lord the full duration; I just wanted to comment because I felt thrown off from what you normally discuss on your girly popcast to hearing you now have this conviction by the Holy Spirit and truly helping others turn to him and break so many chains ♥️

I have a friend who watches your other content and I’ve shared this podcast with her in the past. She’s been open to going to church but has flaked a handful of times now. She hasn’t been to work for months now being out on medical leave for migraines, but she gets upset when people ask her if she’s doing better when she posts on IG going out and getting her hair done. She’s been very distant lately and not responded to my messages. How can I best reach her for Christ and also not get dragged down by the negativity she is currently surrounding herself with?

I know I’m not who you wanted to respond, lol, but I read your comment, and I think the best thing you can do is just to faithfully pray for her. Pray that God will put someone in her path that can reach her with the gospel. Pray that God will soften her heart! We can’t do anything, but God can!! 🤍

@@tomianneroberts5148 Hey thank you for responding! That is sweet of you. I have been keeping her in my prayers but sometimes do feel frustrated by her distance. I guess it is probably something God is teaching me to continue praying despite the way she responds/her lack of response. I’ll keep praying she let’s go of the negativity and sees the fulfillment she can have in Jesus!

@@ChaiTea7 Hi. I read your message and I would love to know how your friend is getting on. I am out of employment for chronic migraines and I can tell you that they are the scariest, loneliest most isolating experience. I can understand why your friend might be getting her hair done and posting as the thing about migraines is once they subside we are like a normal person again and she probably just wants to retain some sense of normalcy and identity. It has taken me months and months and I am only just turning to God for healing because unfortunately no one ever put the idea of Christianity to me. I hope that your friend finds some relief and you continue to pray for her x
