Concrete is a tough job but somebody fas to do it I did concrete work here in Texas for 15 years we did regular concrete work like pouting slabs we also did exposed aggregate work and one time we poured. A pool deck and walkway in the concrete mix there was fiberglass and crushed marble the day after we poured it we went back and sand blasted it by doing this your are exposing the marble. it sparkles like diamonds it was beautiful

What is the purpose of such a leaf-thin footer?. 3 inches?. No frost where You live?. And You seem unprepared once the concrete arrives. Spacers for the rebars does the trick, a concrete pump, a few extra hands?.

The purpose between the post is for rock to sit on. The ground is primarily shale. Footers for structure are 2’ square and 12” deep. Not much frost line here. I had all the help available. And, it wasn’t much extra work in bending over to pull the mesh into place. The driver pumped way to fast but the job got done. A little hard work now and then keeps you going. I had a concrete contractor write to me and said @he would have been fired on the union site, lol. Anyway, thanks for the comment.
