S1:E27 /// You Don't Check Your Surfcasting Hooks Often Enough
In this episode of the podcast, we discuss an interesting phenomena that recently happened to Toby- and it's a reminder to check your hooks on every cast, no matter the conditions. This is something many anglers fail to do- and it seems early-season apathy got the best of Toby for a few casts, too!
This is our first "hot take" episode, where we discuss something that just happened while we were out fishing. We haven't come up with a name for it yet, but are open to suggestions.

If I'm throwing top water I only check for weed every cast. There is always some light so it just has to be glanced at. Bucktails or Weighted soft plastics if I felt any kind of hit or rock I check it all. Have you ever been stalked by someone trying to find your spots. I have and now if I think I'm being followed I pull over or make a few turns to see or I will go to the busiest most know obvious spots first and then disappear.
Lol I check my leader every cast
