    Didn't even need the Brotherhoods end, just Chandra -8 after attacking with all the tokens and use it on face and your own token for the 1 extra damage to make it 14.

    I like this deck a lot. In the game vs. Azorius there was an option for lethal the turn prior to when asked if we saw the line. Instead of making mana with Chandra, CGB could've played the Burn Down The House for 6 tokens, swing, 5 damage goes through at least. Then minus Chandra for 5 damage to face. Sequencing could be either way, but it wouldn't have mattered.

    This deck is cracked, I just went 5-0 with it on ranked standard. Favorite moment was stealing my opponent's Atraxa out of their graveyard. Curious if it performs just as well across historic and explorer? Carnosaur is the all-star of this deck, it perfectly bridges the gap between turn 5 boardwipe/Gix into turn 7 Etali/Breach because of just how much tempo it offers. I suspect it'll get rebalanced on Arena in the future.

    It simply comes down to the fact that archfiend and shelly cant put the same amount of pressure on in 1 turn vs boardwipes. Carnosaur needs a boardwipe clear while also putting on the same level of pressure as shelly or archfiend.

  • @cursinsquirl

    @cursinsquirl

    6 ай бұрын

    The carnosaur is actually a bit better off than you suggest with its discover. 6 2-drop removal spells and an ironcreg are all pretty mediocre, you are just as likely to hit burn down the house or Cruelty of Gix as you are a 2 mana removal spell, with big score and brotherhood's end hanging out as well. In a pretty aggro-heavy metagame where this deck is slower than most others, hitting a boardwipe a third of the time seems pretty good.

I couldn’t believe how easy was winning against mono red or 5 colors, just using your brain, the cards, not too much gain life, not too much strategies to defeat just one deck, but it’s good enough to defeat them all, and best part, people doesn’t give up, the deck just explode, even when you think everything is done and you are defeated it, nope, the deck surprise you, even the 10 board wipes, the deck still has it. Vintage and Legacy costs tens of thousands, timeless does not. It’s a matter of time where people only care about that format. It’s funny how everyone whines about standard, yet sticks by it. All the streamers are putting out more timeless content now. Analytics will prove it.

    6:25 i may be wrong but this probably wouldn't work - the ability of enchantment goes on the stack with required legal target that's already in graveyard, so you couldn't in response throw something to bin and then select a target. There's unfortunately no time for such an elegant move :(

    Sagas trigger after your draw step so doing any setup in upkeep is totally legit. Just have to remember to put the stop, like I never seem to.

    It's sad CGB has to justify and defend his win record on camera. Hatred and envy really festers the worst paranoia.

    I hate that they put the fight poster up when you load back in after a disconnect. The other day I crashed, got back in, and I could hear the rope the whole time the poster is up. I throw down a crystal grotto as soon as I get in, with the rope at the barest length. Grotto hits the battlefield, doesn't resolve the scry, and is an unusable land for the rest of the game. Can't tap it manually, auto tapper ignores it, doesn't even highlight when I pass the mouse over it, all because the pointless poster wouldn't let me play. Put in a line that gets rid of it during a reconnect, Wizards. Please.
