One thing I love about these songs is all the little imperfections like the string buzz and muted notes. It's something that most guitarists try their hardest to avoid but in this setting it just works so good that they wouldn't be the same without those imperfections

When I was very young like four to six years old my older brother played stalker and I would watch. My older brother died in 2020 due to a drug overdose and since then I've played stalker shadow of Chernobyl about 4 times now and I've played clear sky and call of pripyat once or twice, playing the game since has made me feel almost complete and more at piece with his death. He was a good stalker

Give Anomaly, a Call of Pripyat Engine re-write, and the Gamma mod pack a shot sometime. Hold those memories... ... Actually, there's one mod... There's an old family picture item, and a mod to add animations to examine it. Pretty sure you can replace the picture in it... Keep him with you.

“What brings a guy like you here?” Mckhail said not stopping his guitar. The knight said nothing, deeply staring into the fire. Behind the helmet his eyes were stained lightly with tears. Cheated, he felt cheated. He knew what his sacrifice might bring, death, maybe an afterlife, but he never imagined this hellscape being his fate. His old home, distorted and corrupted, everyone he loved and cared for, gone and dead. And here he sat by a fire, his sword, and a man playing the guitar who he’d never met before. “I never chose this..” He finally said. Mckhail stopped playing and stared through his mask at the knight. “I feel that way too sometimes, but all we can do is make the most out of our time here in the Zone.” He stared off into the dark sky. “It’s not so bad here. Sure it’s got it’s rough parts, but I feel like if we look for the good in it all, you end up enjoying it.” He stopped there and looked at the knight, but the knight just kept his eyes on the fire. He waited, but the knight said nothing, so Mckhail shrugged his shoulders and started strumming. The knight pondered over his hopeless circumstances, but was it really any different from the rest of his life?

I feel like I’m entering a post apocalyptic world’s bars that still have people running and drinking at it, a guy playing guitar in the corner or in the shadow for everyone to listen to. The vibes man, they’re good.

This comment's a weird one, but I want to thank you, personally, James. I used to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R on my brother's computer, back when disks were still common use... God, it's been a while. Anyways, I was real young at the time, and genuinely, for the longest time, I've thought S.T.A.L.K.E.R was some crazy fever dream. I remember guitar_11 being one of my favorite songs ever, and was absolutely stunned when I heard it here and realized this was the game I'd been trying to find for years. I've since learned it on an acoustic electric and am going to buy the game soon. So thank you.

Сталкер всегда будет в наших сердцах. Не только за хороший активный геймплей, но и за такие вот атмосферные моменты. Сядешь, бывает, у костра где-нибудь в Деревне новичков, или на базе Чистого Неба, или просто к случайным сталкерам и слушаешь. Истории, анекдоты, и музыка гитары. Чувствуешь, будто ты сейчас дома. Аномалии, мутанты, разборки - на время всё уходит, и ты просто сидишь вот так

I like the moments when i see a exo guy playing guitar. It always reminds me that there's a fragile human being inside the monstrous robotic appearance, trying to survive while keeping their sanity, just like other regular stalkers.

I remember listening to stalker guitar tracks on my way home years ago Felt so calm compared to the entire bus

it's sad we were three friends and now we're separated only I am left in this darkness and this music.

I live in ukraine and the events of the game take place in my country and this game has a special place in my heart, this longing that still lingers from the soviet union in which I never lived, the environment, architecture and atmosphere, stalkers playing the guitar by the fire, depression, sadness, hopelessness, unfairness, despair, disgust is all about stalkers they are outsiders but they play these melodies. this is all I think I was born with and this tumor of longing haunts me all my life. but regardless of all this, remember that stalker dies only when he is forgotten
