That performance was indeed in NYC, at the Ritz..I was there and I'll never forget it..Agnostic Front and Morbid Angel opened for them. Interestingly, Mr Bungle (now with Dave Lombardo on drums) does an SOD cover called "Speak Spanish or Die"..Saw them live last September and it was EPIC! If you haven't heard their track "Raping your mind", you MUST hear it!!!

I was at this show at the Ritz theater in nyc and the opening bands were agnostic front and morbid angel.great show for sure,definitely one of the craziest shows I have ever seen!
Awesome request! I´ve seen S.O.D. live in Hamburg, when they were touring with their "Bigger than the devil" album and still I swear - that was the craziest crowd I´ve ever experienced. Absolutely everyone was going nuts with "Speak English or die" as THE highlight. Unforgetable !!!

Yes the first riff is definitely one of the greatest riffs of all time. Tied at number 1, for me is the opening riff of New Level by Pantera. They are both chromatic. Most chromatic riffs sound heavier to me.
Hell yeah, saw them live on Dynamo open air in 1999. Epic Billy Milano moment was when the mike's down and he starts kicking the monitor over and over again. It wasn't the monitor we couldn't here any singing for the next minute either. Looks hilarious those gangshouts without them actually hearing them.
Those were them days, you know. I miss those days!

Yes it was recorded in NY, it is from their homevideo/live album "Live at Budokan". You forgot to mention Dan Lilker other band that also played that Hardcore/Thrash Crossover sound... Nucler Assault. Although he was wearing a shirt from his other band... Brutal Truth. I think you have already done a Nuclear Assault song on the channel, so I guess you need to do some Brutal Truth.
