I think BIB is the only band who plays Dance Metal / Synth Power Metal these days. Very good single for this summer.

@@ScarriorIII Måneskin won just 3 years ago with a Danish bassist. San Marino has previously used vocals from Flo Rida. Celine Dion won for Switzerland, and she's freaking Canadian. They really aren't all that strict.

Eurobeat is such a good genre. it's exciting seeing new eurobeat from a power metal band. Was not on my bingo card for 2024

They would be so much more legit if they had a real life synth player. I still love them though… great musicians and the songs are cool and great fun! 🤘

Well, synths are done by Kabanen AFAIK and he just wants to play guitar during the live shows. But I get it.

I just got into this band over the last year or so. Purchased their discography for a cross-country drive. Obviously I was sold. 😄 The 80s motif discussion made me wonder-- are you guys going to be reviewing Brothers of Metal new single/video Heavy Metal Viking? That band is aces as well. 🤘

Songs a bop like so much of their more recent stuff. Long may it continue

How many metalheads discovered Eurobeat for the first time through this song 😎 Personally I recommend the following songs. Streets of Fire. Manifold Love. Futureland. Adrenaline. Spitfire. It's a far cry IMO from all the meme songs, like Gas, Gas, Gas and Running in the 90's, and Deja Vu. They aren't bad songs oersay, but they're overplayed like crazy with the meme videos, so I figured I'd give ya something better to start with

Also to consider that 3 of the 4 last album reviews were Orden Ogan, VOA and Kryptos I would say they are far from being death metal. Of the last 3 reaction/reviews 2 were BiB and TK which are also far from being death metal. I don’t mind your opinion but at least be accurate in wanting to prove a point

Sounds and looks almost like J-rock bands. Reminds me of these pop bands faking guitar playing - the thing that was very common in 90's and early 2000's .

The 2:02 synthesizer/board part, which we encounter multiple times in the song, is honestly just bad. So annoying. Could've removed those parts and the song would be much better.

It’s a typical synth sound used in eurobeat music. There’s an anime called Initial D that uses that type of music as the soundtrack. On Spotify this song has AI looking imagery that closely resembles that anime. I’m pretty sure that’s the main inspiration for the song. I personally like that show and eruobeat and metal music so I love it. I can understand why others find it annoying though.

Damn. It’s funny how Battle Beast has become the better band now. Beast in black keep getting worse.

I would say Battle Beast was always the better band. Eventhough I adore "Berserker" and I like "From Hell with Love", but I was disappointed with "Dark Connection". There was just too much 80s/90s Dancemusic, and not enough Metal in the BiB-Pool for my taste. And this new single seems to be no exception.

DC was awful but whereas battle Beast released even worse albums, at least they improved with Circus of Doom. Looks like BIB are continuing to be meh.

Far from a joke. Their musicianship is clearly on a superb level and those vocals are something special too. Sounds like you have lost your ability to have fun and enjoy music more than anything. Metal takes itself too serious more often than not so lightheartedness is very welcome especially when it comes with this kind of quality of music.

Cheesy? Absolutely. Bad? No. Just metal with 80's/eurobeat/dance music influences. For me, the combination of metal and electronic music is just perfect, but I can understand why someone wouldn't like that. I think their stuff is not always meant to be taken fully seriously, but their songs are still very catchy.

Ofc they are not a joke, but even if they were, I know "joke" bands who make better music, smarter and with more music knowledge and craftmanship than many "real" musicians :) Nanowar of Steel comes to mind off the top of my head.
