DAMN I LOVE THIS GAME. The fact that Eggman was in fear and curled up in a ball, like other normal person would do, is so clean. The fact that Eggman just GAVE UP is amazing. The fact that this exe version just put Knux into dreams is so clean omg i just can't i love this developer. Good job!

Fun fact: You dont play as sonic at the end. That's actually shifter. Sonic is already dead at that point. For those who dont know shifter was an alien that arrived on green hill by asteroid. The parasite assimilated sonic like from the move The Thing. The aftermath is quite clear. also be nice and respectful! This was all made by ONE person.

I love how the game uses the way the story described it ot it's advantage, being disguised as a buggy and glitchy mess that's only there to lure you in and show you the real horror. The sprite work, intentionally janky mechanics, music and sound effects, all contribute to one of the best Sonic.EXE games I've ever seen in my life.

The fact it started of as normal at first is immediately a sense of unease, also love the graphics put into this

I do like how .exe devs are making their games more creepy and unsettling. Focusing on more otherworldly aspects and transformations.

11:50 that has to be one of the most creative .exe kills I’ve seen in a very, very long time. That’s absolutely horrific. This has to be one of the best .exe games in terms of the psychological and lovecraftian horror aspects, it’s definitely unique compared to the rest. I also love the use of surrealism in their art style in general, really makes the difference in the execution.

I loved the idea of Eggman slowly seeing the others die, and when it's his turn he sits in a corner metaphorically, terrified for what's to come. He accepts his fate and just wants to get his death over with at that point

I love how this EXE actually gave you a little something before the game ended. Its like a little gift he made to thank you for leading everyone to their deaths

While the game is a little more rough around the edges compared to most modern EXE games, it still has its own edge thanks to the bigger focus on more surreal and psychological horror elements. I especially love the fact that as you go through each character's story, the remaining ones left become more nervous and unsettled, and by the time you reach Eggman's story, he's curled up and weeping as if he knows what horrible fate when you choose him. Plus, Summer Hill Zone is such a brilliant subversion and is just genuinely terrifying as a concept.

I find funny how theres some people complaining about the jank, completely failing to notice the more the characters advance, the more their world crumbles apart, about to show its true face, the jank is there (and continues to become more aparent the more time passes) because by itself is just a facade to lure sonic friends into "it"

Overall it's pretty mod like most EXE games, but the Summer Hill bit is really clever. The idea of Knuckles being pacified by the illusion is really freaky, especially if you consider that the reason he stops moving in the illusion might be because Sonic has damaged his body too much in reality for him to continue moving.

everything is made terribly and thats what makes it creepier most the sprites aren't where they should be and are sometimes choppy the music seems out of place because its mainly just the melody playing the physics are downright garbage (which makes it just creepier) its almost as if this is a corrupted version of a beta of sonic 1 i like it

@@regularperson369 The reason you hear jump sound effects is because knux is trying to move, but he can't because he died, so I'm pretty sure he realized what happened to him, and that makes it one of the scariest exe deaths to me. Also eggman's select screen is so sad

the silence during the “Hide” level along with UNLs’ enthusiasm right after killing the other characters makes me feel icky in the best way possible i like when evil characters are just eager and happy after accomplishing their evil stuff so i rlly like this (AND THE “i made this for you” scene oh my god)

This unlicensed creepypasta is a literal masterpiece. I love the whole game's vibe and Sønic.UMT's design. I think it looks freaky as the kills were really brutal. as for the music, it is very ominous on how some of the music doesnt include the other instruments. I like how Summer Hill is an illusion as Knuckles is seeing things differently, but he's in reality getting eaten. The sprites works are chef's kiss, and the whole idea of it is just amazing.

This game's lack of physics is way scarier than the game itself 💀

It's intentional. The original sonic.exe story said it was a glitchy buggy mess. It plays on that.

While the plot remains just another iteration of your typical entity going around and killing characters, the graphics are top tier for applying horror aspects, despite already knowing what’s about to happen.

This is like Sonic.Exe Venezuela,where the budget for the game is reduced due to inflation,Sonic is hungry as fuck,and he doesn't even have time to be scary,so he's just grateful you fed him. Truly an inclusive moment. PD:and why is Eggman seeming to hit the greedy in his stage?

Bro, I'm starting to think that this game is supposed to be a remake of the original Sonic.EXE Creepypasta, considering the fact that the levels are in the same order as in the Sonic.EXE Creepypasta and I really like how it's interpreted.

I absolutely love this. However I do think that the game is pretty janky (maybe that's intended?) And the sonic game resprites do look a bit awkward sometimes. However the sprites that are in the creators art style are fantastic. I love the body horror, especially knuckles' death scene. It definitely feels like this was made more out of shock value, but it still has a lot of passion put into it.

Yet it's still Press-D-to-die like game, i like that this game rather uses more like low-pitched noises and crunches as ambient and deaths than various screams, shrieks and ect.

I dunno if the actual gameplay is *supposed* to be/look like a super old Flash animation style..? With how the characters just fall through the boxes, or sometimes don't ball up in a jump, or get stuck to a floor/ceiling mid-animation, but I guess if that's the lore, then it tracks? Was still tough to watch, aesthetically, lol. Everything else was solid! Sonic and the background's simpler art style (looks like a kid's coloring book sketch) while staying gruesome was a nice touch. And the character stories were a nice change of pace from the stereotypical .exe paths, didn't rely on cheap jump scares, but still kept to its roots. Overall solid game! I'd give it 8/10.

I'm usual turned off by EXE games having gameplay that's rough around the edges, like it comes from 2014 and not 2023, but the rough gameplay actual works in the games favor. Since you playing an unlicensed bootleg version of sonic 1 with some sort of evil entity inside of it, it actual makes sense that the gameplay is kinda choppy, slow, and rough, because it's not an actual copy of sonic 1, just a cheap knockoff used as a façade by some sort of demon or parasite to hide itself inside of it. (Or at least, that's my interpretation.)
