GTX Time, this 1970 Plymouth GTX is powered by its Numbers Matching and Rebuilt U code 440/375HP. Wow back in 1970 the muscle car Horsepower Era was at its Peak, Ground Pounding American Muscle putting Smiles on everyone's Faces taking there mind off of the Vietnam War! This Fine Example was restored years back to its original Ivy Green Metallic paint with its Dark Green bucket seat interior. Its floors, frame, and trunk are rock solid and appear to be very original. It runs and drives great down the road and comes equipped with power steering, power brakes, am radio, tachometer, gauges, dual exhaust, and is riding on set of 15x7 with RWL tires. Its Dark green paint, and dark green interior are both in great shape. This is a very nice driving and looking Real Deal #'s Matching GTX that is ready for summer fun!

    It`s stunning, I had a 70 road runner, the vin was rm21, which meant it was an original road runner, it was an original air grabber car. I sold it cheap 20 years ago, after a divorce, still think about it to this day, they are so much out of my price range now it`s unbelieveable, thanks guys.

    I love the magnums, I had the ugly 70 rallye wheels, the GTX had all of the nice chrome trim, road runners were anodized aluminum trim pieces.

    170 mph, a GTX much like this one, walked away from me and my V8 Vega. We became friends, and drank beer later.

    Beautiful car! Should be easy to hook up A/C, looks like an original A/C car with the vents....small point, steering wheel looks like a Dodge wheel, not Plymouth, can’t be original.

    I remember the GTX being similar to the Roadrunner but the GTX was a bit more upscake than the Riadrunner.

    Might be legit but that fender tag has been off and fastened with phillips screws, should have left it alone with the original rivets. Really is sketchy but still a nice GTX.

    That’s the way they were done in 1970. I am restoring my 70 GTX that I have owned since 81. My 70 Challenger is the same.

    @@randylear8264 you’re right, just found pictures of the 79 challenger I had years ago , quite a few were under the hood and the tag is visible in some, phillips screws !

    375 horsepower for the 400-6 is the old fake GROSS rating. Under the new NET (real hp in the car) ratings started in 1972 the actual horsepower is only 305, not 375. Those are official MOPAR numbers. A 2020 Dodge 5.7 V-8 puts out more at 385 NET in the RAM truck.

    440-6 was rated at 390 HP and 490 ft. lbs. of torque. 440-4 bbl. rated at 375 HP and 425 ft. lbs. torque.

    Tear it up? NET horsepower is only 305, any modern V-6 does better than that, a 2022 5.7 V8 has 385 net horsepower.....

    @@chadhaire1711but the V6 would lack the torque. Take my word. My warmed over 440-6 has turned the quarter mile in 13.6 at 108. Traction was an issue. And it was not an ideal day.

    I owed a 70 road runner and the first thing I did was take that stupid yellow lines off the side that resembled dust coming from the Road runner, over all it looked stupid…even this car what is with a yellow line on dark green… ugly
