Hey, that’s a great video! I have a Polaris general 1000 2018 and when I bought it from the auction it had damage on the front. The eps was broken, and the clutches would keep slipping. I changed the belt a few times and took it into the dealer. They said it was the clutch that we needed to replace. I got new clutches but i observed it closer and it looks like it would make a noise every time the the transmission would spin. I spent so much money on this and I don’t want to fix what doesn’t need to be fixed. Can I get your opinion on this? Thanks!

Hello, I would like to know how this happens? What causes the breakage? Is it possible that it is the front axle that engages the 4wd while driving that causes the gearbox to break? Large-diameter tires?

So I'm trying to figure out what's going on with mine the CV shafts have a lot of play. at low speeds trying to take off. They like make a clanking noise but driving it's fine it's only when you first start to take off. Diff fluid 100%. seal is starting to weep a little bit even though previous owner replaced all that stuff lol. so I guess what I'm getting at. Is it possible that it could be the bearings and are those replaceable without complete disassembly?

Dustin Fitzgerald it ran long enough to get back to my truck. (About 20 miles) I’d have to start it in gear because it would die putting it into Drive. Thought it was the clutch rollers at first. Replaced those, and rolled it out of my garage and you could feel it catching and clunking in natural, and I knew it was more serious. But, to your question. Can you? Yes. Should you? I wouldn’t unless you’re needing to get back to camp or your vehicle, to minimize anymore damage.

sincityryder Great question. Often times when rock crawling when your front wheels are off the ground spinning faster than your rear wheels. Then when the front wheels hit the ground spinning faster, the shock of them slowing down can affect the output shaft to fail. I’m sure I broke it on this trail. kzread.info/dash/bejne/k45hq5Zpe5iwl5s.html

Now the transmission i'm working on the reverse chain grenaded and it busted the case that has the snorkel gear. But the one I'm on has a shift fork under the big output shaft planetary gear deal, (sry, not sure the names of the parts) The shift fork was also broken where a coil return spring sits and has a electronic solenoid that screws into the case to work the shift fork that's under the output shaft gears. Yours doesn't have that shift fork. My question is i don't think i have it put together correctly, Doesn't seem right that output shaft is just sitting on that shift fork. If this makes sense to you, i am at a loss. I did not do the tear down of this thing, it was brought to me in pieces and coffee cans with my friend hoping that i could tig weld the busted case. He must have assumed that i have a lord of the rings magic wand and a satchel full of sorcerer spells but i gave all that up in grade school. No way would that have held, the whole thing would have blown apart the second you put any kind of load on it so i said I would help only if he gets new parts that are broken, especially internal parts. So he got me a new case last week. This has been like a 3 month ordeal so far so god knows if i will get this back together. FML i should have said "sorry bro i don't know nothin bout nothin" "i am stupid, you should have taken it to someplace else, i hear they are the shit over there! fixing everything plus there is all these slutty 20's something women hanging out over there, they have beer and they don't wear any panties.... but u came here....."
