I hope they lean into the whole counter hit focus with ryu. His moveset is pretty straightforward but a safe special that full launches on counter is both dope and fits his patient, steady characterization

Its like Ken's jinrai kicks but with much more comboability and damage.

Damage only on counter hit, and no mix when burned out opponents, but still pretty decent on them

+2 on block IF you use a meaty setup where it hits on the last active frame. In normal circumstances, it's -3 on block.
