Dude, you are a friking genius; as a hurricane was moving towards us, the generator was not working right even after taking apart and cleaning the carburetor, I remember buying the acid almost a year back after watching this video and decided to try it before buying another generator, and to my surprise, this works, the generator is running as smooth as new. Thanks.

Hey man I just removed carb cleaned and reassembled like you showed in the video. However when I turn the choke knob to run/start or choke gas leaks out of a port on the surface of the carburetor that mounts against the gasket between the carb and motor... any clue why this is happening? It is a pretty solid stream and everything is bolted up nicely?

sounds like the throttle is stuck. take off air filter pull carb off studs you're looking for the butterfly valve on the back of the carb that's throttle the front one is choke. use some spray oil and move it back and forth you'll probably feel it give like its stuck just keep working it till it is smooth feeling.

I appreciate you trying to help. But it is very obvious and clear that you just wanted to post some videos. I can tell you just had learned the hard way a few times at least you appreciated it enough to try to help other people. That is the pass I will give you sir. Anyone will tell you your Technique is crude but sometimes needed for the man that does not know how to adjust the carburetor. Although it is a quick fix that's very hard on gaskets, but let's face it these are cheap Motors if you get a few big jobs out of them they pay for themselves oh, I was laughing when it took you about 5 minutes to describe what a fuel return line was coming off what is clearly the intake right before a carburetor meets the block of the engine adjusting your air fuel mixture exactly right and being in tune with your exhaust and your jet selection different areas act different. In closing I would like to thank you because I was pretty sure I needed an eight and a 10 mm thank you
