How do you spread seed or weed and feed? By hand, manual, powered, dropper, other? Let us know!

Got this half price here in Sweden last winter. Salted driveway then fertilized yard last year. Greener than even! soon.

I have had one of them for the last 2 seasons, this will be my 3rd season. I use it for fertilizing the lawn. Works great.

That's awesome! We have actually had this for over a year now (backlog in editing and posting videos) and it has been great!

Works great once you figure out you have to squeeze the trigger all the way to make the little door open, thought mine was broken but this is just how it works.

I love mine!

I used mine for the first time today. When the product is dry and no clumps, it works great. I had a bag of fertilizer, that got damp and had clumps. It clogged up a lot when that happened. So, long story short, get only dry product.

I use the Scotts hand held for Ice melt. I wonder how this would do with ice melt pellets since they are larger than fertilizer/seeds.

Yeah, it would be great for ice melt. Anything much bigger, probably not.

Got one of these nearly two years ago. Mainly got it because I didn't have room to store a big push behind model, but got tired of changing the batteries on the scotts wiz model I have. the dust that remains from the granular fertilizer I use seems to clog up the door to where it doesn't want to close again. So either keep it clean or stick with a scotts I say.

Great advice! We noticed the same. Fertilizer powder does build up. But if you clean it after each use we haven't seen it cause a problem.

Just buy rechargeable batteries

Would love to see this tested with ice melt. I have a company that does my lawn but I’ve melt this could be perfect for.

We haven’t tested it, but there are several in the comments that say they use it with ice melt.

so were you spreading fertilizer ? I but Scotts weed and feed that covers 10,000 sq feet will this handle it?

We have used it to seed, weed & feed, and fertilizer. Fertilizer seems to be the messiest. All of them seem to leave a powdery residue that can clog it up a bit but the fertilizer we used was the worst. Still works, just got to clean it afterward.

didn't like it at all. tried spreading spectracide triazicide. wouldn't flow at all even on 5. found out door wasn't opening properly. door slid a little, slid a lot or didn't slide at all. really aggravated me. took it back to the depot mate.

I jerry rid this with a strap on the trigger so I can do my yard with pulling the trigger manually! I do not know why Roybi has a two step trigger function.

Packaging says it spreads fertilizer. I put cow manure in it and it didn’t do anything but get clogged up and make a mess. I give it 1 of 10 stars. Complete waste of money.
