These RYOBI tool boxes look great! Very durable. I hope you get well soon. 🙂✌️❤️
Definitely going to Home Depot and jumping on each of the storage systems to test their durability now. Can only imagine the looks I'll get.
I like the size of it. It's cool for milwaukee to have the corner handles and be so rigid but I think the space is best utilized in the link, I cant wait to get my hands on it. The wall link system is a game changer. It's like Ryobi cleats.
Get well, Dave. You're health is the most important thing. Without it, you aren't able it to do anything.
Great rundown MCT, link makes packout look like tool bins for those with small hands
1:20 most abuse I’ve seen these boxed put through, good job bruh. Hope you feel better soon

thank for the video Sir Hope you fully recover rapidly.
This was definitely my go to until I saw a tool deal of dewalt that came with the rolling tough system. I only have the bottom half right now and it's kicking the jonsites rear end. But I had my eye of ryobi for months. Might get the system for my mom's Christmas decorations and gardening tools.
Certainly interested in them myself, might have to wait for a sale first though. Though it is nice that the 3 box combo is only like $30-$40 over just the rolling base packout toolbox ($183 for the ryobi link 3 box, and &139 for the packout). Also get well soon.
So just o clarify. The locking storage compartments do lock in for basic transport but even if they pop out of the diamonds, nothing can escape because with the lid down it secures the top. So that is a non issue
I'm gonna stick With the pack out I already have too much invested in it 👍🏻🍩🐶☕😊
I have been wanting to look at these in our Home Depot. I’m not sure I want any of these, but who knows. I’m hoping that you will let us know which set make a better portable toilet. :-) I did buy a bunch of smaller plastic storage boxes from Home Depot to sort my screws, wire caps, bolts and nuts of different sizes. Handy. Get better…….. And congrads on getting past the 50,000 mark.
This video is a KZread version of the Jordan Flu-Game. The Covid-Episode 😂. Great video bro
Bought these about a month ago. So far I have been happy with them. But I have a few complaints. 1. The bit holder prevents you from completely filling the small tool box with bins. 2. Ryobi doesn’t offer a small box with a clear lid for fastener storage like all the other pack out systems. 3. They should include the bins both sides in large and medium boxes. But those are minor improvements that could be made. As far as future items, I would love to see 1. link mount 8 pack battery charge/carrier, or better yet a link mount radio with Bluetooth and a built in 8 pack battery charger. That can run off ac and charge batteries, but when in plugged, would run the radio on one of the batteries. 2. Clear top fasten storage boxes. 3. Dual Link mount misting fan for those of us in hot climates. So we could roll the pack out system to where we want it and use it as stand for the misting fans.
Thank you for the video. I'll stick with Packout tho. Get well soon
Pretty interesting, as an owner of Milwaukee packout it's nice to see cheaper options but I'll probably stick with what I have. I wonder what other options for the Link system will be coming in the future, this could be a good system for people who like portability but don't have a bunch of cash to spend.

Arrogance…..cheaper options? Compared to Rigid storage Milwaukee is weaker and over priced….I own all the systems for storage and rigid builds a stronger but cheaper product
@elementalfact0r

@@arthurpineapplepen5209 not sure how my post equates to arrogance when all I stated was that the Ryobi offered a cheaper (a more affordable) option. Not everyone can shell out big money and this allows more people to get into a mobile tool platform. I’m quite happy with what I have and in 2 years haven’t had a single issue with Milwaukee. Not sure why everything online has to be a pissing match

@@elementalfact0r perhaps if people would phrase their comments in a non fan boy kind of way it wouldn’t turn into a pissing contest…..as an owner of 5 storage systems I can provide an opinion as well…..for what these systems are….I think Milwaukee may have the market but their product for storage is way over priced and their quality has lowered since going main stream and there are better stronger options at a fairer price….rigid is one such example……

@@arthurpineapplepen5209 Any "fan boy phrasing" is based off of the original misconception that the word cheap was used to describe quality. You chose to take the word cheaper out of the intended context, but the packout system works for me and I have had 0 problems with it so there hasn't been a need to switch (why fix what isn't broke). It sounds like your experience was different and that sucks, BUT THESE ARE ALL TTI PRODUCTS at the end of the day. This misconception continues to grow for some weird reason, even though I originally said " I wonder what other options for the Link system will be coming in the future, this could be a good system for people who like portability but don't have a bunch of cash to spend." because innovation and AFFORDABILITY are good things for everyone. Anyway, I'm done here.

Get well soon man, that covid is not a joke.
Hi Dave I hope you are feeling better now .....? I reckon that whole system looks really nice, & at some stage in the not so distant future it arrives in Australia. It’s not on ryobi web site down under yet , do you have the over all hight measurement for the complete system including the tray ??? Cheers man 👍

I do feel a lot better now thank you :)
I think to add, the handle is beefier and taller than other units which we all are going to add to the height with another box or container boxes.
Have you been hitting the cough medicine lol
I'd like to Ryobi make a carrier for batteries. A case with a tray that has places molded in to securely hold batteries.
i have the ridgid system and i love it its a good very touch system 👍

Mine are made outta nothing and falling apart, they're definitely getting replaced by this
Like you said, good product but the price is still a bit high. Considering the packout 3 piece set is ~$300 regular ($199 to 229 at sale prices), it's hard to consider this over that or the much cheaper but more basic ridgid. Maybe when these go on sale for 150, they would be more attractive
Friend, how are you doing? How is your post COVID health situation? Is your wife doing any better? I agree with your Milwaukee is the way to go when it comes to the packout
My only gripe is that the top lids have no handle on any of the tool box and the middle box is a bit short to me I would like the deep box or the middle be deeper but it does not have a tray but that’s fine because the tray can take up space and it’s for power tools only
Take care of yourself man!
feel better
The lid is a deal breaker for me. When I close the lid it should hold everything in place regardless how I handle the box. They put a handle on it, they know people are going to carry it like a briefcase. Yet they didn't design it to hold things in that position. That's just a fail. I also don't like the built-in bit holder in every single box. I don't need bits for every tool, why would I want a holder in every box?
It is all good MCT
Anyone know where I can get the quick removal pins for the handle?
I feel like the link system would be good for overlanding setup in a vehicle.. just thinking out loud
Dang at the end of the video you looked like you were on your last leg. Don't make yourself worse trying to make vids get some rest. The one test I haven't seen is how well the storage bins hold items in. I know they don't lock in and are limited to how many can be used with that bit holder. Hopefully Ryobi goes back and makes that bit holder removable or remove it all together and has a better way to lock in the bins.
kinda interested in them but i feel like they're just a big box with no real pockets. i have the Husky 22-inch Pro Grade Rolling Tote that works pretty well. has lots of pockets for small handheld tools. i feel like this would just be a big box to dump stuff in and never find it.

I feel you really should be choosing the size of the box to match the tool. I actually measure all my tools BEFORE I buy storage for them, and get the smallest size box I can get away with. For example, my jigsaw lives in a systainer T-loc 1 (Which I believe is 105mm high). That's so little extra clearance I actually have to tilt my base plate to a 45 to put it at the front of the box (systainer boxes are not uniform depth throughout, as the lid has some structural ribbing at the front where it meshes with the lid, and there is also a dip at the back for the cleats on the base to lock into). As soon as you start putting tiny tools in giant boxes, it's kind of a disaster, and it's also inconvenient to get stuff in and out. Also, I don't recommend full kaizen foam, as it wastes quite a bit of space, but a little bit of foam is often useful, just to make your tools register. You only need a tiny amount of stops in a box to make every tool fit right in place, which makes it even easier to unpack and pack your tools.
Finally a cheaper option that isn't chinesium.
The question is, if the case is at 0 degrees and you drop it, will it crack? A lot of them are fine at 70 degrees, but freeze them and they get brittle and crack.

Hey Dave I checked and the ryobi crates do lock into each other. I had three today locked in and had to use the release button to get them apart
Hope you recover soon. Stats show getting vaccinated a month or so after recovery provides really good protection. Check with your doctor! I'm really surprised those internal boxes don't lock in... super weird miss.

hi
The button and latches should be green.
These boxes look flimsy / cheap. Better off paying a little extra and buy the Dewalt Tough System.
@ManCaverTools
2 жыл бұрын
they are really tuff, their a little more flimsy than packout but there are tough, I wouldn't say that they are tough if they weren't
I see the locking mechanisms breaking over time and getting clogged up with crap etc and these boxes when you put different size items with different weights and shapes and actually bang these storage containers around the stuff moves and falls everywhere lol? For all that you might as well just get a big tote with wheels for 20$ cause if the stuff doesn’t stay put and can’t stay locked together and organized over time in all temperature conditions than that’s all it really is imo a glorified way over priced storage tote. I want systems that keep every bit, Fastener, connector, wire nut or whatever else small neatly stored and organized without moving and I can clearly see it or Know where it is at all times and will not become unorganized or moved or around or still have to dig through stuff to find it. Same goes for the bigger tools without needing millions of hardcases to store each and every single tool and have to open them all up to find what your looking for. That’s what makes some of dewalts storage stuff nice and what makes Milwaukee’s the best in the business. I’ve seen entire work vans and pack out equipped vehicles hella organized, nothing moves, like rolling workshops with everything clearly accessible, viewable, doesn’t move, easily moved from place to place and everything’s easily organized. Just saying. This is for like your grandma thinking she has her sewing supplies or tool kits to refurbish antique furniture or do her knitting class or cross knit 😂😂🤷🏻♂️

You could always put foam inserts or something? But yeah these are just empty totes that stack together. Nothing really mind blowing.
Anyone know what these weigh? I can't find it on the ryobi website, and home depot thinks that the 6 inch high box weighs 2.5 lbs, which I do not find credible: the smallest lightest systainer (50% shorter, smaller footprint) is slightly heavier than that by a couple ounces. Seems like an important oversight: These things are meant to be portable, and if these are significantly lighter than packout, I would expect them to be shouting it from the rooftops.

@@ManCaverTools I have seen those, but I don't think they are credible. It says the 6 inch box is lighter than the smallest systainer t-loc, which is a smaller footprint and 2 inches shorter. (2.5 vs 2.8 lbs) I really suspect someone just took a rough guess, or rounded heavily.

@@ManCaverTools No one is going to be “shaking” these suit case styled boxes left & right, upside down like you did in the video. Secondly, other reviewers like VCG Construction and others, tested the “loose” parts bin the right, normal way a person would carry them.
I think they should make the hp tools with green accents. All that green messes with my eyes.

This system is overpriced. Seems like a decent mobile tool storage option but If Ryobi wants to compete with Packout they need to drop the price. Also, Ryobi needs to get rid of that ugly neon green color. Us tradesmen like quality tools but also decent looking tools. I will never show up on a jobsite with neon green tools.
Seems kinda cheap and flimsy
