These torture tests need to be done with loaded set ups, that would give us a true scenario. Dropping an empty stacked system is one thing but dropping it it with 50+ lbs can be something completely different.

once I put weight in mine, about the 10th time I was taking it down stiairs with maybe 90 pounds in it, the handle at the top snapped right off where the tiny tap screws are. Sheared the aluminum like it was nothing.

Put a hundred pounds of tools inside of them and then toss it around. Hard to judge real life circumstances when the boxes are empty.

I have been looking into this since I only need some to hold all of my tools and cart them around on occasion. I have tried it out at the store and do like it. The handle is a little wonky though. Great video!

🎯That's all great but you didn't put 3 to 600 lb of tools in it in a real world environment. I did like the wood and stare test but once again there was no tools in the cart.🤦 But I'd like to see you push that thing off the back of a pickup truck filled with tools because that's a common scenario that would happen with a toolbox like that. 👍 I'm not saying you didn't make a good video I'm just saying I think you could have done a more strenuous test on that tool.

None of the reviews about this system (and there isn’t many) talk about the crappy bins that absolutely do not stay in place , as well as the lack of tool trays. Those bins up not go all over the place… imagine if you had bolts or screws in them and the bins in the bottom one…what is the point? A tray would be much more useful… I was waiting for this to come out and all the reviews I’ve seen so far seem to be a let down…not to mention the telescopic handle is rickety AND you have to use two hands to move it up and down…and then a tool to disconnect it? That’s a no for me….should have gotten the craftsman when it was on sale.

I really won't be surprised at all if someone just does 3d printed or aftermarket inserts. A plate that clips or glues onto the lid could cap the bins and also hold them in place. You can get ALL SORTS of mods for packout and systainer, and they are not unreasonably priced. In fact, if you just got a foam insert (commercially available for both packout and systainer), and glued THAT to the lid, it could cap the bins and hold them firmly in place. Unless this project is an absolute sales disaster, at MINIMUM, I expect foam inserts to be available aftermarket. Really, though, I strongly suspect that in a bit they will release a dedicated organizer. There is merit in having a clear lid for small parts organizers, and both the major competitors (systainer and packout) have clear lids on their organizers.

@@timmietimmins3780 You are probably right but that is even more irritating. The customer shouldn't be responsible for making that. Especially if Ryobi wants to claim how competitive of a system this is. This is the kind of thing they do with all of their drills by not having clips included and forcing you to buy them...online, mind you..they won't even provide them in the store to purchase. I have a lot of their tools but this doesn't seem to be something I will be purchasing. Some Ryobi fans will over look or just ignore many flaws just because they love the company so much. Although I watch a lot of Ryobi reviews from multiple youtubers- I tend to believe the ones who aren't solely Ryobi fans since they have less bias.

ill probably just not get the small box. I saw that come up in a review. Though it does look like they can be used on the wall mount they have, which is neat, but meh.

@@mase002 it just doesn’t make sense. Outside of the fact that they slight all over, there are no covers on the bins. I really wanted to like this setup, though.

Ryobi is fine for the guy that buys tools from Walmart. Knocking the boxes off a table empty shows nothing. Load all 3 boxes with weight inside and shove it off the table or push it down the stairs. Set the bottom in water and freeze the water what happens? Ryobi, skil, craftsman, kobalt and ridgid also make comparable options. In my experience ryobi doesn’t have the power of others and the feel is cheap.
