Yeah, this really shows how devoted they are to the club. I see no reason why they can't use their money to lift the club out of the depths, especially with the club's history and fanbase. They deserve to be in league football, and it's great to see them back and with some of the best owners in world football.

I respect that the rob and ryan didn’t try to steal the limelight during the celebrations, they let the team and the fans have their moment. Shows that they truly care

@@linseypizzuto390 that's the main difference, one of the first of their decision was hire and pay wages to all the volunteers, on their first travel do Wrexham they listened to all the people in the city, the only complain I have that people didn´t get Rob's enough credit, for more that I am Ryan´s fan and love this guy, Wrexham success is only possible by Rob´s effort.

@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants Well there are clubs in every small town and village so there are thousands of clubs in Great Britain. Not every club can play in the Premier League. So there is the Premier League with 20 teams. And below there are different tiers of leagues. And at the end of one season the top clubs of tier 2 go up a league (which is called promotion) and the bottom teams of tier 1 go down a league (which is called relegation). Wrexham have won tier 5 and go up to tier 4 for the next season. This is promotion.

@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants The worst couple teams each season are literally kicked out of the league and "relegated" to a lower division (equivalent of the NBA G League/Triple A Baseball), they are replaced by the best teams from that lower division (called promotion). This ensures competitiveness at all ends of the standings. The top teams are fighting for a championship or promotion, and the bottom teams are literally fighting for survival, since getting relegated results in a massive decrease in funding and loss of many of your best players. Therefore there is no such thing as tanking outside of the US.

Robs love affair with football has been so amazing. He's come from someone who's never seen a match to being beyond emotional at today's match. As an Arsenal supporter since the 80s its great to see this club grow again. Thanks to Rob and Ryan these supporters now found their new club owners for life ❤

I`m a 4th generation Crystal Palace fan who can remember when we were in the old third division then reached what would become the Premier League using mostly players who had come through our development system and finished third which today would have meant qualification for the Champions League. I remember the dark days as well such as when we were 45 minutes away from going out of existence before our current owner, who is a lifelong Crystal Palace fan stepped in and saved the club. Over the last 40 years, I have met people who I now consider extended family through our shared love for Crystal Palace. Being a London club, we will always be overshadowed by the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea. We don`t have their financial resources either but our club is owned and managed by Crystal Palace fans like us unlike the big boys who are nothing more than corporate playthings that don`t give a toss about their fans.

Ryan and Rob are better owners than 1/4 of clubs in the EPL- they do what is best for the club, they are active with it at every given opportunity, they marketed spectacularly, and they have proven they truly care for the team- Wrexham fans will forever need to owe everything to their owners for making hope possible!- Ryan and Rob saved the club

I thought it was just another "Stars buy sports club, ho-hum" deals. But then I heard about all the backstory, about how they went there and met with the people and went about it all with respect to the fans and the town. They knew they had the money, but they knew they had to use that money and influence right to do something special. And they did just that. Well played to Rob and Ryan and especially to the players and staff for the club. Welcome back to the League.

Rob and Ryan probably got a bigger buzz from that game than any Oscars ceremony.

Me too. I don't follow sports, but I love human interest stories, and movies about sports. I've watched both seasons of Welcome to Wrexham. It's amazing.

A community tranformedby these two people. $2.5 million was a drop in the bucket, but the energy they put in to lift up the spirits of the town was massive. Congratulations to the team and town of Wrexham! Not a footballer fan, but I will now tune in

It's crazy. Being from America, I personally had little knowledge of Wrexham as a club, other than just knowing their name and that they were one of the oldest clubs in the world. I enjoy a good soccer/football match, but usually i'm only able to catch one of the bigger clubs on tv. And then yes, the Welcome to Wrexham tv series came out. Shocker, I know. But as a big fan of both Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney, I was intrigued by them purchasing a football club. I knew it would be entertaining. What I didn't expect was to get so emotionally connected to this place and these people. I found myself rooting for a team I barely knew anything about a year ago. Checking scores. Searching highlights. Just trying to keep up with the journey - I guess until the next season of the show comes out. Not claiming them as "my team" or anything like that, obviously. But I am just really happy for the town, the fans and the team from across the pond. So cool to see this happen. Congrats!

Kollar vi från 2014/2015 säsongen till nu 2022/2023 på hur mkt klubbarna har spenderat så ligger Liverpool €1.09b och Manchester City på €1.67b och Newcastle på €754.98m... Så jag förstår du e kränkt när ni inte presterar bättre än ni gör. Du kan gå ut på transfermarket och skriva in där själv vilka säsonger du vill se. Hoppas dock du använder hjärnan och utgår från när ni köpt in era spelare ni använder till datum nu.

That is what all owners should aspire to. They care about the club, they care about the players, they care about the fans and what feels to me the most important, they care about the community. Congratulations to Wrexham AFC.

@marcos they are now recognised as a fully professional club again, they are in professional leagues, not semi pro, they will be up to league 2, then league 1, championship, premiership.

I love how the ref made sure he was as close to the tunnel as possible before blowing the whistle. Well done Wrexham and all parties involved.

The good people of Wrexham deserve this. They are an amazing fan base. Take a bow and feel the love.

The pride, care and love they have for Wrexham is very touching to see

Not a soccer fan, but came to this via separate following of Ryan & Rob, huge respect for them and what they are doing for this small community. They care immensely for the club and the community. No financial or political agendas involved, simply a love for the sport but more so a humanitarian connection to the players, supporters and the Wrexham community as a whole. In today’s world such genuine compassion and meaningful motivation is a rarity. Powerful stuff. Much respect to all involved in achieving this great success.

Of course there's a financial agenda. It's supposed to be profitable. And now, they'll start getting money from the league, so things will change. Of course they care for the team and the community, but the whole point of investing in a club, is to make money.

That town is just the cutest. I love how much they believe in each other. The crowd turning around and singing at the end is so heartwarming. I’m not sure if they were singing a song for the coach, or Rob and Ryan, or both. But super sweet moment.

I love how both the owners have embraced football and got Wrexham up. For an unfamiliar sport for both men one American one Canadian and to embrace a sport that is not in the top five of sports in their respective countries and to make a team considered minnows and to bring them to the football league and make a town no doubt a lot happier after what we all went through during 2020 is magical. That is the power of football it gives people the hope they need.

Always been a fan of Ryan, just always seemed a really genuine human being amongst his superstardom. Huge football fan aswell so a dream to see him so invested in our game.

I respect Rob and Ryan for not trying to steal the show during the festivities, they let the team and the fans have their chance

Like a lot of other people I was a little bit worried this would all turn out bad. I knew enough about these guys to know it wouldn't be an intentionally cynical TV stunt, but I think a lot of people had the perception that it could end up being awful for everyone. I'm so glad that notion has been put to bed. These guys are absolute gems, they clearly love the game, the team and the town. I never had any interest in football before this, but my appreciation for both these men is becoming an appreciation for football and specifically Wrexham too.

Amazing what having a committed ownership group can do for a club.

What I’d do as a spurs fan to have owners that cared this much, well in lads

I really like it that the camera catches the reality of success hitting Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds multiple times. You'd think, as successful individuals in their fields, that they whoop and cheer and then it would all be compartmentalised and the corporate mindset would take over. But they were blown away repeatedly. They'd recover and whoop, but then they'd reflect on their responsibility, commitment and what means to the town, and they'd get blown away again. it was great see them go through the emotional happy wringer. Well done Wrexham.

As my dad coaches football in the states, he loved when Wrexham, a small-town football club that has a rich history in football. I'm glad Ryan and Rob put their time and love into this club. This club will be promoted to EFLCH in 2 years' watch.
