Ryan is a Warrior
Unfortunately, when the body starts to break down like this retirement, should most definitely be considered. We can say these things are freak accidents, but when the body is youthful during freak accidents, you don’t occur injuries like this. It’s a part of the aging process that we all go through. Hope but nothing but the best for Ryan, he’s a true class act!

💯 these freak accidents don’t really happen during youth, at least, not nearly as much.
16 surgeries…jesus. I had infection in my knee that needed emergency surgery and 3 months of IV antibiotics…super difficult time. Get better Ryan
Danny "Yeah, for sure" Segura
Its too bad we didnt get to ever see Ryan Hall fight against alot of top level competition. I love watching him, because his style is probably the most unique and different style that their has ever been in the UFC. I dont know how he will fare against better competition, because he has very little striking and wrestling, but he is at the top of the food chain in BJJ and even black belts are terrified to go to the ground with him.

Yeah, Topuria at 24 was more well-rounded, more powerful than most of the guys ranked way above him. So yeah, Ryan fought an elite fighter from my view, and lost.
ONE has a BJJ division competing during their mma shows. Interesting stuff.
This is tragic Hope to see him heal up Pain is a bitch His talent is on another level All love
4:40 agony is truth, it's my connection to the living, I accept it as perfect and keep on existing in the now
Love Ryan Hall!
I need to see him fight!!
Interesting about the scoring and judging. Both sides to it. I guess the fans, excitement and entertainment outweigh "top control, wrestling, landing zero strikes." That makes sense to me. If someone isnt getting ANY ground and pound off, or sub attempts...F* that control. I want to see people fight to try for a finish. In a way, it speaks to how good people are off their back. Someone has a good guard game and prevents any ground and pound landing on them. Close fights are hard to score, no matter the criteria.

To those of you who don't know, this is the most feared and could've easily been the greatest MIXED martial artist of it weren't for opponents ducking, Dana refusing to push him and the obvious elephant in the room. Man, I wish I could have witnessed a sustained Ryan Hall title run. 🐐

His bush league tactics in the octagon can hit the road permanently. I hope he makes a comeback when foot stomps and soccer kicks are legal again in the UFC. Then by all means, please return.

When you get one injury, sometimes it can lead to another because you put more pressure on another area of your body to alleviate the injured area, it leads to a domino effect of multiple injuries.

Ryan should never fight again! Make DVD's, that's where your $$ is at. I've rolled with Ryan. Yes, he's very technical, smart and has an amazing fight IQ (THAT'S GRAPPLING!) MMA / FIGHTING, he's too fragile and weak. He's the one study where Technique does not beat strength! I'am a D2 wrestler and at the Leo Dalla Purple belt when we sparred. I could not tap him, and he didn't tap me. I can say I rag dolled him for 8 min's. I did outweigh him by 20 pounds, same height, 5'9. He needs to get on a strength training program!
@interestedparty7523

People don’t understand. D2 is no joke. I was just a slightly above average wrestler in bitch ass high school, and I still gave higher belts lots of problems the minute I understood the basics of jiu-jitsu. So when I hear about any collegiate wrestler telling a story, I absolutely believe it.
