I don't think you can go wrong with either card. With extremely similar performance, I would guess the driver updates, or lack thereof (AMD has either stopped updates or about to for the 580), and the power consumption might be the deciding factor.

Alan wake 2 is the first of many future games already feeling the effects of no driver support for the 580 when it should be doing as well as the gtx here. For budget gamers it will still have some value for games made in its era.

@@mrman6035 I would also add Starfield, which has a comparatively bad performance. Being that it is a game that AMD has an advantage on modern GPUs.

Think about the drivers too. 580 should get that May update but they won't which sucked. 🤷‍♀

Hmmm, NJ Tech found which set to put the RX580 in, and also chose the worst version of the video card in terms of cooling system and performance. I'm interested in: Why push a video card with PCI-EXPRESS 3.0 support into a slot with version 4.0, but he chose a normal video card from NVIDIA, without any questions (except for the slot version). And the most important question is why it was impossible to take a more or less compatible test bench from Intel or AMD, in this test bench it is clear that we have an overgrown muscleman (in a good way, although there are some minor comments). A lot of people watch such tech bloggers, including the younger generation, and there are even those who want to be like them. But no one wants to know about the throughput and compatibility of the slot, no one wants to know about the quality of the video card’s cooling system, and similar nuances, like: His Majesty said we must do this, so we must do the same. And then people like me have a question (in a rude form) Why?!
