Awesome shooting range👌🏻. Nice gun, i think that i would stick with the AA pellets, they group well, emagine what the would do once your fingers are warmed up👍🏻

You should always shoot 3-5 shots once you think the scope is zeroed to check consistency.

What kind of scope were you using? Just got a 34 .22 cal. Any recommendations?

Hi Raymond, I had a UTG scope on when making that video. I think it was either a 3-12 or a 4-16 power model. They're decent scopes for the money and hold up pretty well. Harder hitting springers (Diana 48 or 350) will wreck them eventually, but UTG has been great about replacing them as long as you keep your receipts. I also suggest you look for the UTG "drooper" mount with an appropriately sized (height) set of rings. www.pyramydair.com/product/utg-drooper-scope-rail-11mm-to-weaver-adapter-compensates-for-droop?a=4191

Hi Phil, thanks for checking in. Rifles come and go... I ended up selling this 34 over the winter. Of all the airguns I have had and then sold, this is the one I will miss the most. It's not all bad though. I did consolidate a from five airguns to two. One of them is the Diana 54 "Air King" which is a very interesting and fun rifle to shoot! :-)

Well, like I mentioned above, I sold the rifle bought a nice, used AirKing but it never really clicked for me. I had the opportunity to buy my original 34 back again and jumped at the opportunity. I'm very happy to say that I have it back again!

Wait, how is your diana 34 so quiet!? Mine is pretty loud!

Hi @Cadd I think what's happening is that the audio track was set to "auto level" which, when it senses a spike in volume, it drops the recording level. This makes the gun sound more quiet than it actually is!

Matt, what scope and mount do you have installed on your 34, and are you happy with them? Did you have an issues with "barrel droop"?

Hi Tom, the scope is a UTG 3-12 (basic, not the one with etched glass reticle) mounted on the UTG DNT06 scope mount base. I've been quite happy with UTG products. I should say that I have had 2 scopes fail on me but each as been replaced by UTG under warranty. One failed internally and one had an adjustment dial pull off. I probably have owned a total of 6 UTG scopes. Yes, the 34 is a BAD drooper. I have this drooper mount AND I have shimmed the scope on the rear mount. That being said, my 34 is a GREAT shooter. It's one gun I will NEVER sell!

matt coulter Nice shooting I've got a number of Diana's and they all suffered from barrel droop and all are renowned scope killers a good solid last a life time rifle thought not sure how long you've owned this particular rifle it does take a while to settle in find the right pellet and use the right technique are very accurate too 👍👍👍

@@philkennedy342 sorry for my slow reply here! As I mentioned above in another thread, I'm hoping to try some field target competitions, so I'm getting my butt off the bench and practicing off-hand shooting. Right now mostly from a seated (on the ground) position. Yeah, it's a challenge. I have also gone through some pellet testing and have found the Air Arms 8.3 to be the best shooting pellet. The AA heavy is a close second, but at 12 fpe, it drops quite significantly at longer distances 50+ yards.

Woofman, I'm not but my wife is and she's in charge of the decorations ;-) Yes, I have both a 34 (.177) and a 48 (.22) I love them both. But I would say the 34 is the better of the two rifles. At least in my case it is. The 34 is a 13 fpe rifle and the 48 is 19 or 20 fpe so the 34 is just easier to shoot accurately. The 48 is getting there. I consider both "keepers".
